Hi everyone. I'm working on a project, and I need help to make sure I don't leave anything out. What I need to know is: If you lost your entire list, what would you do to rebuild it quickly? As my thanks to you, I'll send you a free copy when it is completed. More details available at: http://ask.kurttasche.com/rebuildlist |

You obviously wouldn't lose it on purpose. My question is what would you do to rebuild it quickly, if you happened to lose all of your data.

That happened to me by accident. When I deleted one of my Get Response campaigns, I lost several hundred names that went with it. Silly me. No recent backup. However, I could always add what I do have back into my AR but that would trigger a "confirm opt-in" to be sent to all of those who already did that 2 years previous. Would they confirm again? Not likely all. So I guess you'd just have to start all over again. In my case, I bought those names through GRs service and I'd probably order it again if I needed to get a new list as those were good targeted leads. Sylvia |

First, I'd recover it by restoring the backup. For this exercise, however, I'm assuming we don't have access to a backup. Therefore, I'd go to my mail server logs and write some code to parse the logs and rebuild the DB based on the last e-mail campaign I sent to my list.
