I Hate Google - Please Help!

I just created a new campaign with my keyword in the title and a landing page from my site which is a product report for the keyword I'm targeting.

I thought I couldn't get much more relevant!

But no, Google slapped a $10 minimum bid on me.

I have another campaign with a redirect straight to a sales page which isn't mine and I'm paying .25 a click max.

I'm thinking it may be because my domain has been slapped before. If I opened a new account would this overcome the problem or is my domain permanently screwed!?

I'd suggest having other domain. Or better landing page.

Eg. add a privacy policy, contact page, maybe a blog with some content. Also check your nameservers and website with a proxy. Google was charging me $10 because their servers were seeing another page with a popup (the free one from godaddy).

So go and do a double check.

    Hope it helps,

I think this happens when you first open your account- google gives you a crazy price and in a few weeks drops it down to normal...

Nah .. my account wasn't new. and once I solved the nameservers problem I mailed them and they cleared the cache. The price went down after.

      Thanks guys but;

I've had my google account for nearly a year. The landing page for this campaign is a 20 page blog packed with relevant content.

It's the GoDaddy redirect that's only costing .25 a click.

      Cheers
      Nick

You could contact support and ask them if there's a problem with the content.

When I had that problem they told me they will close my account if I don't take out the popup (I didn't have any, but they were seeing the one from godaddy free domain parking )

Thanks Zeurois, but it's not the Godaddy campaign that's the problem.

This happened to me too recently (about two weeks ago). After 6 straight months of cheap clicks, my ads completely stopped showing. I went from $200/a day from this particular site to absolutely nothing.

I was told it was because of a low quality score. Like you, the copy, my ad and my ad description all contained my main keyword I was advertising. I couldn't have been any more relevant.

I had a SEO expert look at the site. He told me he couldn't find anything wrong with it. I reported this to google. I was told that SEO and Adwords optimization were two completely different things.

So, I had the site rewritten. I added some pages, contact info, bios, TOS, etc...AND got a completely new domain name! For now, I'm back in business...but the problem is that you never know for how long.

I've contacted google several times and I've went round and round with them. Unfortunately, they won't tell you EXACTLY why your site's score has been dropped. They will only give you general info. I asked them to look at it--so that they could see how relevant the copy was, but they won't do that because they have computers to do that for them.

Anyways...I'm sure if google had a viable contender out there, their customer service would change. After all, us guys using adwords are paying customers. This wouldn't fly anywhere else.

Not sure if this helps, but this is what i did to get bacck up and running.

This is a tough one my friends.

I would open up a new account with a different website. If that does not work out for you, go with yahoo and MSN.

Thanks Brian, I think you've confirmed my fears but i' not too concerned as the PPC was just a test I was doing. I will stick to SEO and get's some articles published instead.
