How to create simple videos?

Hi fellow warriors,

Is there some (free)software around to create simple videos for You Tube?

I want to use powerpoint,mp3 etc to create simple videos very fast.

No viral videos, just images, text and background music.

These videos I need to promote some offers.

Looking forward to your advice.

Thanks

Richard

Check out CamStudio.org. I've never used it but it's free and from what I've heard it's pretty good.

I'd have to recommend Camtasia Studio. It's not free but it's excellent for screen capture. You could even download the free trial and make a few videos right now for free.

    Animoto is super-super-I-mean-SUPER-easy.

Just grab some images, upload, drop some text between frames and you get this:

    animoto - Nanacast Review
    animoto - Landing Prophet

It took 5 minutes tops after finding the images.

    Richard,

Have you checked out the ad at the top of this page? It may be more than you're looking for, but Kevin's workshops are top-notch. You won't regret it.

I was told that Youtube would take down videos if they consist of powerpoint slides, even if you have audio.

However, if you don't need those bells and whistles, you can use windows movie maker which is on your computer.

Perhaps to get round the Youtube rule, you can just use a webcam, handphone or some camera with video function to record yourself talking, and then slice in some powerpoint slides to reiterate your points.

I think, the better solution is windows movie maker because you want to create simple videos. You can save power point sides as JPEG's and add them to storeyboard, and next add back ground music also to storeyboard.
