howdy warriors, I was just curious which email service people here use to send and receive personal email messages? Until recently I was using the premium version of yahoo mail. This was ok but the deliverability left alot to be desired and yahoo mail doesn't have many features. What about outlook express? Is this worth setting up? If so, how do I setup my outlook express account? (I understand this might be a stupid question!) Thanks guys! |

I use the standard version of outlook, much easier to sort your emails and archive than express. You can just leave open all of the time and hide it down in the taskbar. Set your send/receive to update every few minutes automatically and you never have to manually check for mail, it will give you a notification icon down in the taskbar when main is in. Here is a step by step for setting it up for your yahoo mail account. How to Access Free Yahoo! Mail with Outlook - About Email |

I found Outlook Express OK to begin with but you soon outgrow it. I moved to the full version of Outlook and it's great. I use it for both personal and business email and I can keep everything separate. Cheers, Neil |

wow, okay, it looks like I need to setup one of my domains to run on outlook. It's funny that I've been doing this for years and have never really used outlook. Not sure why. I guess I've just had other things to do. Thanks guys! |

I've always been advised to avoid Outlook and Outlook Express because they're the software that most viruses are designed to use as their attack-route. I don't actually know whether it's true though. But I've always used web-based email for that reason.

Thunderbird, works like a breeze. Its freeware and opensource and very intuitive! It lacks the Calendar-function, but you can use Sunbird for it. For both applications exist plenty of plug-ins and extensions, you can add every function you can imagine to them. ![]() Both are from Mozilla, the guys who make Firefox. Completely free, open-source and frequently updated. Oh and its CROSS-PLATFORM - so all Mac, Windows and (L)Unix people can use it. Thunderbird - Reclaim your inbox Mozilla Sunbird |

I use personal mailboxes which are set up on some of my websites. I monitor 9 email accounts at present. My ISP is Charter Communications and they seem okay for the most part. For my email client, I use an older program which is no longer supported. It is called Calypso, and IMO its a great program. Works good for my purposes. Not sure if it can still be downloaded or not..... |

Hi Zachary, IMHO the best solution is if you use your domain to make email address. It looks more professional than others. Btw I also use Thunderbird of the Firefox with satisfaction. Best, Sandor |

Domain mail with Thunderbird and sometimes Gmail. Deliverability is perfect. |
