Hot Conversion Funnels

Hey Warriors,

My partner and I are doing a little marketing intelligence for an upcoming product.

Simply put, we'd like to know if setting up a converting sales funnel is a problem for you.

For many it seems to get a bit painful in the cost or time departments. Either you are paying someone to build your pages: squeeze pages, thank you pages, up sell pages, downsells, sales letter pages etc. etc. or you are having to do this yourself. That's one issue. What's the pain point for you in this area?

We also want to know if the tech of getting these pages set up is painful - hosting, opt-in forms, payment processing, funnel architecture, autoresponders etc.

And then what about testing and optimizing your funnel for maximum opt-ins and conversion rates. Are you A/B testing? Are you collecting stats? What are you challenges here?

And lastly, what are your thoughts on the copy? For some this is the most painful part of all because good copy costs a lot. How do you approach this problem?

All in all, we'd like to know how you meet these challenges and any and all ideas that would make this easier, faster, cheaper - even if those solutions don't exist yet....after all, that's what we're looking to build for you.

Last thought: What about just wanting to learn how to set up and optimize a converting funnel - does that interest you?

Feel free to be very frank with your comments...maybe we are missing the point entirely.

Humbly,

Oliver

P.S. We intend to reward people who respond! Thanking you in advance.

  • A couple years ago putting up new sales funnels for myself and my clients (along with creating A/B tests, multivariate, etc.) was so labor intensive my assistant, my programmer and myself went a month without clients just to build a framework to automate all of that creation.

Now it is much easier, but before then it was a huge hassle. We would regularly test up to 15 different variations on a squeeze page, for instance, and before automation we would have to create 15 different pages. If we noticed a typo or had some other minor change it meant changing 15 pages.

If we wanted to test variations on sales funnels it meant creating many pages that were virtually identical twice. Again, if we found even a minor error, it meant editing every one of those pages.

Links had to be checked on every page. Every page had to be tested to make sure it worked properly.

So, yes, it can be a daunting task. It cost us about $15,000.00 to create the automation we now use and it is worth every penny. If you were going to create a product to do this why didn't you tell me two years ago!

I would be very interested in learning this. I got the copywriting part down as that's what I do for a living, but setting up a high converting sales funnel in general would be of huge benefit to me.

My biggest challenge is testing. I would love to learn more about how to make this process quicker and easier. Thanks so much. Looking forward to seeing what you create.

      Jessica,

On a scale of 1 to 10, 10 being "technically inclined" ...what would you rate yourself?

This post really hit home for me. I've been learning about IM for the past year, and the one thing that is really stopping me from getting somewhere, my BIG NUMBER ONE HANGUP, is the technical stuff. I just have no idea where to start when it comes to getting the technical stuff hammered down. The technical aspect of getting my squeeze page set up, my opt in form, the re-direct links, the order forms, even the specific buttons on the order form. I have no idea how to do any of this stuff. I have no idea how long it'll take me to learn and/or how much money I'll lose in the process. It is this very reason I am taking my time and treading lightly when it comes to product creation, etc. What's really frustrating isn't so much me being held back from making money, but the fact I can't get my product out to the masses. People NEED my product (completely non im related), it could honestly end up being the best book realized in this niche in over a decade. It could really help a lot of guys out. But unfortunately for them (and for me) I can't get the technical aspect down, nor do I have to funds to outsource it. For an experienced marketer with technical skills and cash flow my product could be completely killing it within 2-3 months. Yet here I am slugging away trying to figure everything out one at a time.
