How is tax info reported to you

In real life, I am employed in the tax prep industry. Just out of curiosity, how do the affiliate networks report your income to you? Obviously 1099 misc, but in which box? Misc income, royalties, or non-employee compensation? Depending on your business, case could be made for each. Just wondering.....

    Well, royalties wouldn't be honest. A royalty is an ongoing payment as a kind of licensing fee to sell/perform something created by the person.
