Found this some time back and forgot about it. Might help you. Nothing to do with me. No affiliation whatsoever. And no...I haven't checked every link but there are recent comments. Cheers, Mal

Here is what I don't like about most of these sites and it's not a knock on
      your kindness for sharing them.

      1. The navigation through many is a nightmare. Trying to find where you
actually search for photos shouldn't take more than 5 seconds.

      2. Many are just links to other sites, many of which are not free.

      3. Many have a very small inventory of photos and poor ones at that.

It is like anything else in life. You get what you pay for. If you're designing
an ecover or banner and need a specific stock image that is excellent
quality, 99% of the time, you will need to go to one of the top sites and pay
      for it.

At least that has been my experience.

True. However some of the free sites are good, for example ImageAfter is good for industrial photos, old cars and vehicles and so on. If you're willing to spend a buck or so on a photo, an excellent resource is bigstockphoto.com that have thousands of professionally shot images. The models in the photos also have Model release agreements, so that part is taken care of. (I am not an affiliate or whatever-so don't get me wrong). I 've been using them for all my projects and they are really an excellent source of photos.

Hmmm...that's a bummer. Like I said I didn't go through them all. Maybe we need to sort them out. Then it might end up being "50 Free (Legal) Sources of Photos". Alas I don't have the time. Anyone want to take it on? You'll earn three Merit Badges and a copy of my best-selling book "My Life As a Blog". (yes ...that's a joke)

Hey Steve...what's the bet someone turns this into a $7 WSO. LOL.

Thanks for the link. I usually don't do my graphics myself and my designer is the one who has to worry about getting all the images for the project but I would still bookmark it as I might use it sometime.
