Gotta love split testing.

Do you have a squeeze page? a landing page? a page with adsense? Then you better be split testing.

It's so simple to set up a split test with many variations using Google Optimizer. It's free and will at times double or even triple your profits.

Don't over look the power of testing everything on your site from banners, colors, buttons, etc. It takes a couple minutes to make another variation of your site with different colors and seriously will do wonders.

Don't think that because you saw the statistics from the guru's site that it will be the same for your site either. Every market is different and every micro niche within a market is different.

I've been split testing a new squeeze page. Changing the color behind my optin box from a light red to a peach increased conversions by 20%. Sounds stupid, I know. I'm definitely going to be using peach for the squeeze page from now on though. Think of all those lost subscribers and more importantly MONEY if I wouldn't of tested it.

Yes, split-testing is a must in every business.

After split-testing 2 variables, split-test some more until you're satisfied OR until your current salesletter/squeeze page/article CTR/etc. provides the best results.

I think many people overlook the power of Google Website Optimizer which makes it super easy to test pages. There's not excuse for not at least testing your headline, but you should really try and split test other things including:

    - The design of your page - yes this can make a big difference
    - Subheadline
    - Bullets
    - Your offer - if you can, try different offers on your squeeze, or change the positioning of your offer

Here's the link to Google website optimizer for anyone who can't be bothered to google it: www.google.com/websiteoptimizer

Travis, just be careful you don't fall into your own trap. While the peach color increased your conversions over the light red in this test, you can't assume that:

      > The peach color will work the best on any future squeeze page.

      > The peach color is the optimum color. There may be something out there that works even better, but you'll never find it if you quit testing.

Exactly right! I meant that only for this one page. This page actually targets marketers looking for more time to enjoy their lives. My squeeze page that targets those looking to increase their bank account has a different color for the optin but is for the same product.
