Hey
Sorry if this is something of a Newbie question -> but how do I go about tracking where a clickbank order comes from.

So, if I am an affiliate for product 1234, and I have links to that product in two blog posts and one banner, how do I track which link got clicked, and created the sale?

Cheers, and thanks for the help,
Nathan

    Hey there.

When you create your aff link on Clickbank, right below where you enter your ID, there is a box that says "Tracking ID."

Input in that tracking ID box pretty much whatever you want to know where the click came from.

So, in your example, you have 3 links. For the banner, you could make the tracking ID "banner." For the 2 links in the blog post you could set up a system whereby you list the date and which link it is. So, if you made a blog post today and there were 2 links, you could make the tracking ID 327101 for March 27, 2010 link 1 and for the second link, make another hoplink with a tracking ID of 327102.

Then in the reporting section of Clickbank you can list out your sales and hops by tracking ID and it will list the ID's you got clicks on.

    Make sense?
