Affiliate Program to Promote My Book

I've recently published a politcal humor book. This is a physical book (soft-cover), not an ebook. I'd like to promote it via an affiliate program. What's the best service or software for starting my own affiliate program?

Don't promote it via an affiliate program. Ask Amazon to publish your book. Amazon will take care of the sales with their print on demand service and will pay you recurring commissions for your work.

Here is a product on the wso board that teaches you how to get your books sold on amazon:

Just something for you to check out. I don't own it but it has some great reviews.

    Good luck!

I would say amazon is a great place for you to sell your book because of the niche you are in.

Just signup with https://www.createspace.com/ and publish you book. Amazon will sell copies and you will get a royalty on every sale made.

My book was published through LuLu.com, and it will be on Amazon within a couple of months. However, even once it's on Amazon, it will likely just sit there unless it's promoted. That's where an affiliate program may help. E-Junkie looks like one reasonable option. Any other suggestions would be appreciated.

For an easy affiliate system for physical goods, eJunkie is a great way to go - simple sign up, low cost easy on the vendor and affiliate to use.

Are you ready to have an affiliate program is more my question.

If you're looking for affiliates to be your ongoing source of traffic, you'll need to beef up your plan to include promo content and helpful information that they can use or modify in their campaigns.

What are you doing for marketing the book now?

CaseWhitney is right about you needing to provide content to help your affiliates promote you: sample emails, articles, banners, etc. You'll need to help them help you.

Does anyone else feel weird about buying from "e-junkie"? I felt weird when I came to their order page and abandoned the cart the first time I saw it. An alternative affiliate program for physical products is paydotcom.com

I have a couple of books on amazon. I'm getting sales from announcing online that people can get a downloadable excerpt from one of my books. So my next logical step is to announce the free excerpts in press releases.

Announce your new book in a press release, maybe they'll even republish an excerpt from your book. Give people a taste, a chance to say, "That guy is funny/insightful/brilliant! Where can I get his book?!"

        Hope this helps,
