Hey guys

I've been setting up afew wordpress blogs and one of them is absolutely dominating one of my long tails.

At the moment, these little mean machines are hosted by wordpress.org so I want to move them to my own domain for the freedom that hosting WP on your own server brings i.e. 'mylongtailkeyworddomain.com.' After a month I'm top of Google and want to migrate one of my blogs to it's own domain but I'm not sure of the implications this may have on my rankings at the top of Google, new domain but with the same sitemap and structure...

How is the Google ranking effected with view to duplicate content on a new domain, and does Google 'know' that it's the same blog but on a different host ?

I dont want to be competing with my current WP hosted blog on the same domain as I aim to drive traffic from there, through to my offer on the new domain.

There's afew ways I could go about this and would love to hear your view.

Cheers
