BooksForSoldiers.com Needs Help

BooksForSoldiers.com (BFS) was recently announced on AFN Radio (U.S. Armed Forces Network Radio). BFS is a site dedicated to book donations for U.S. Soldiers and has Direct Hotline to the DoD.

The organization relies on donations to operate. The BFS Board of Directors set a goal of $70,000 to raise by October 31. They have $17,500 to go. If that amount is not raised, the site will close on December 31st, 2008.

Donations may be made in a number of ways.

1. Amazon.com has stepped up to the plate: Books For Soldiers - Index
When you use the Amazon Affiliate Promo on site BooksForSoldiers.com it will take you to amazon.com. For any purchases you make, amazon.com will send a rebate check to BFS. It will be automatic as long as you go to amazon.com using the link and it won't cost you any more at checkout.

2. BFS Official Volunteers (BFS OVs). BFS OVs are companies, organizations, and individuals. For every $1 you donate to BFS, one of the OVs will match your donation by 50 cents, up to $1000.

I applaud your post Jeffery, and will do as much as possible to provide assistance for our brave men and women in the Armed Forces. Without these self-sacrificing individuals, the freedoms and liberties we have enjoyed for over two centuries might not have ever been. My hat is off to you Sir.

Thank you Paul. You wrote exactly how I feel about it.

Thank you Jason. Can't count the times I could have used a book to take my mind off of things.
