Am I Missing Something?

Trying to max out driving traffic to my sites. Here is currently what I do:

Write a keyword optimized article and post on EZ.

Once it's approved then I take that article and post it on Go Articles and also US Free Ads.

Then I take that article and some PLR and make a Squidoo

Then I take the article and make a Blogger Blog.

I then use DIGG and digg the articles.

Then I ping the article with Pingoat/pingler.

Is there anything else that you can suggest that I should add to my "routine" for traffic?

Thanks in advance for any suggestions!

I'd try using an article submission service or software (ArticleBot is the one I use) to really get your articles around to lots and lots of different article directories. Same with RSS feeds (and, uh, I use RSSBot for that LOL).

Or write two articles - not the same but related so that one kind of leads to the other. Do everything you mention with the first. Take the second and link it to the EZA article, then submit that to a bunch of the lower tier articles. Or even divide it up, so that some links to the EZA and some to the other couple of top directories. The backlinks will help those articles rank better and then down to your main site.

Then you have both articles to use everywhere else you mentioned, as well.

By the way, I would change up the title, at least. One for your site, one for EZA and the top directories, and then another for the other lower tier directories.

Do you keep using the same content? This is a no win situation with the search engines. Write unique content for your articles and blogs. I know it is time consuming but you can always use an article spinner. Unique content with links will get your site up the rankings very quickly.

I agree with Lisa in using article submission services, yet I have to disagree about using a software. I am not sure if Lisa has experienced this, but to me a software is not as effective as a manual submission. And with regards to unique content, I totally agree. Now, this is NOT because there is some sort of penalty, let us make that clear, there isn't. It is just that Google for example will index and/or rank the FIRST article, whichever other articles are found with the same exact content will be ignored. So the more unique content you have the more articles from your site that will be ranked.

Using software for submissions works well.

Also try Mixx & Redit. These work well for me in addition to Digg.

Other than Squidoo, you may try other Web 2.0 properties such as HubPages.com, Weebly, etc. You can take for all intents and purposes the same content you used for Squidoo and "re-tool" it so it is considered "unique" and post it to these other sites.

Another strategy that has worked well for me is to us Yahoo Answers and other related sites like Answer Bag and Yedda.

    Hope that helps.

Additional ideas to get extra "squeeze" out of an article:

-Make it into an .exe and post on software sites. I believe Big Mike has some software for this

-Make it into a PowerPoint presentation and put on slideshare

-Turn the PowerPoint into a video and distribute on video sites

-Turn it into a .pdf file and post on document sharing sites

Another question---how beneficial is it to make the article into a video and post it on youtube?

It's a pretty good niche--it's motorcycles. Just don't know if that would be worth my time or not....just looking for some feedback.

    Thanks a bunch!

Because finding low competition keywords can be a pain, backlinking your articles can be a great way to get them ranking well, and improving the quality of the incoming links coming back to your site.

So, submit an article to EZA with your keyword in anchor text pointing to your site, then use one of those mass submission packages/software to backlink your EZA article.

This helps your EZA article rank, and funnels link juice through it back to your site, without you having to spam your own site with 1000+ backlinks, many of which would not get counted because it would appear un-natural.

Of course you can replace EZA with any web 2.0 property you like, I just like it because it shows views and click through rate and I'm a metrics kinda guy!

As for your Youtube question, i would say definitely give it a try, as youtube gets a ton of traffic, and motorcycle visitors would probably respond better to video than to text.

Give it a shot with a few videos and see how it goes!
