Best way to learn all about RSS?

Hi Guys,

I'm looking to find the best resources for learning all about how Im'ers can use RSS for what we need (traffic, links, subscriptions, sales etc), and no doubt tactics I haven't thought of yet.

Any ideas or pointers to where/how to learn more?

  I'm really looking other maybe less-obvious reasons for and ways in which RSS is used in IM.
  
  I'm guessing using it for autocontent, maybe links, other stuff like that.
