More Blogs or More Traffic? Or Both?

Is that each blog earns you $100? or all 10 blogs earn you a total of $100 pe month?

There really is no right or wrong answer to this. This is something that has a deeply divided opinion.

From a personal point of view I build a lot of niche sites. If one of them starts to shine I will most definitely develop it further without a doubt. Do you see potential in the sites you have at the moment, can you drive more traffic and do you think you could bring in more commissions from them.

Sometimes less is more and if you start to build more sites you could neglect the ones you have already. This also depends on your budget and whether you can outsource management of your existing sites and or the development of new ones.

Hi Dave. Well, my sites are still manageable. I seriously do not know how else to drive traffic. The 15-30 Unique visitors are all from search engines and article submission sites.

Even though they rank well on Google. They are on the 1st page.

I thiink probably creating more websites is the best option. I can easily create 5 niche sites within $100 with 5 domain names registered, 3 blog posts and 7 articles (for submission) written for each website.

Here's an idea which I would personally implement......

Keep building more blogs.... If each blog averages $100 per month. Invest $25 - $30 back into EACH blog each month. Get someone to write OR rewrite a related article for each blog (outsource) every fortnight. Then get them to also write OR rewrite an article and submit it to three top directories, pointing back to each of those two blog posts. This will give each blog post a few backlinks as well as organic traffic directly from the external articles.

By doing this, you can just concentrate on setting up and building new blogs, let them get their feet in the search engines, and then when they start earning a certain level per month hand the reigns over to your outsourcers. By the end of the year you will have quite a large, fresh empire of monetized niche blogs, each with plenty of fresh unique posts, ALL earning you money.

By then most of your blogs may be earning you well over $100 each. You can choose to spend more effort on the 'higher' earning blogs to crank more cash out of them.

You will always pay the same money per month on each blog. The only difference is each blog should end up bringing in more money as time goes by AND you shold have a LOT more of these blogs on the web.

Investing money back into sites that are in fact already earning you money can only be a good thing if there is so much more you can do with them.

To get additional backlinks etc you can use software such as Scrapebox or link building apps, networks. Just a handful per month is all you need, ensuring you deep link to each post too to create an external infrastructre.

You're obviously doing things right. You just need to capitalise on it. Sounds like you are sat on a potential money machine if you ask me.

Idea of creating more blog will give you good results for sure but what if you won't much generate traffic to them, so better go with few blogs/sites and promote them daily with 100% work and you will make $100 in day with that niches..

I used to be of the thinking concentrate on making your current sites better, build more traffic and monetize but when Google throws your site out for no apparent reason you start to question this strategy as your earnings go down to nothing.

That's when I start wishing I had other sites and I used to, prior to trying to concentrating on less I used to concentrate on more. But I failed.

If you want to build more sites you definetly need a good system to manage all of them, you need people, apps, spreadsheets, link management, review cycles, and reporting to manage all this.

This is where I failed I did not have a good system in place, I failed to employee enough people, I thought everything could be automated. Automation just keeps me working, if you want to automate train other people to do it, automation has it's plus's but still requires someone to check things.

I'm going back to MORE now with a good SYSTEM in place. Google is forcing us to do this!

Iin my opinion you should concentrate on 1 blog making around $30 a day before you start a new one. $30 a day with adsense or aff links is definitely achievable.

Depends on what you want - more blogs will create more work and not necessarily more profit, whereas more traffic would create some nice income.

Hi.. I think you have to focus on one site first, generate good traffic for that site until you get the steady income = more traffic means more profit. If you have a lot of blogs, the tendency, you won't be able to manage all of the sites at one time and it would also mean it there would be difficulties to reach what you aim for each site. So I think one site at a time..

I prefer to do both cause the more blogs you have the more traffic you should have and the more money you can get.

I would concentrate on a maximum 5 blogs and create a promotion campaign for them. On the other hand, like someone else said, if one blog - $100, why not 50 blogs - $5000? That, of course, if it is about autoblogs...

I think I know what to do already. I think I am going to create more blogs. I really do not know how else I should drive traffic to my website since I am targeting brand names.

I just need a management system to make it work. I have seen people having hundreds of blogs promoting brand names. Also, a friend of mine has more than 700 blogs and they are all adsense monetized ONLY. He showed me one of his checks received from Google and it was more than $30,000.

Starting a blog, driving traffic to it and bringing it up to a certain traffic level before going into developing another blog is my recommendation, I know how hard it is to manage numerous blogs especially if you are doing this manually, I only have less than ten and managing them can be a pain in the ass, you mentioned about your friend that has 700 blogs, he must be using automated means to manage them, if there is any way to effectively do this automatically, please let me know

I myself have "countless" sites, and to be honest, its WAY too much to even remotely maintain and handle all the sites. The majority of sales comes from very FEW sites where i simply put more work in. Off-site SEO, backlinks...etc..

ONE or TWO sites high in Google can make more money than 100 "meh" blogs...so i would simply take what you have and focus on that, NOT making even more blogs.

What do you think of Google Sniper or Jon leger's Nich Horde and of site building software tools promising riches and joy? Anyone had good positive experience building a ton of such sites?

How long did it take Clement to get to $100/month income lever from each site? How many other sites have you built where that didn't happen?
If it was easy and fast, why not duplicate it for a ton more sites?

Your sites sound like they are focused around 1 keyword. That can be powerful, but then you'd be limited to a few kw rankings, so no point in trying to increase traffic.
Choose to build sites with at least 1500 monthly searches and to target locations where you may get ranked in top 3-4 listings. If keyword site does very well, build another similar one for that or similar keyword. Or use web 2.0 properties to dominate more top listings.

This is a question I struggle with also. I also am thinking of doing my own Lead Capture page as the company I have now has a co website and the team I belong to has a nice website but I do not have a way to build my list. Blogging is an excellent way to generate viewers ie build a list I hadn't thought of more than one blogg.

I would build more traffic.

Would probably would be spending a lot more time building up one site to a $30,000 income level just from blogging than building boring little adsense blogs.

Hey guys, majority of you are suggesting me to build more traffic.

Now, I have got a new question. Since I am targeting brand names, should I target generic keywords as well? The conversion rate will be lower, comparing to brand name.

Cuz right now, getting low traffic with high conversion rate is working for my websites. I tried PPC and managed to double the traffic to my website with generic keywords, but it did not increase in sales.

to make $100 a month from a blog with adsense in a non finance/insurance niche is difficult, you to need to get alot of traffic! 100 visitors a day at least to make more than $100

to get 100/visits a day takes time and effort, to get 30 visitors doesn't take that long and is acheivable with little work in a non competitive niche

30/visits a day is not going to net you $100/month more around $50/month for a non insurance/finance niche.

I was having a good time building blogs. There is probably a million people giving away blogs. Most you can set up in a few minutes. Trouble is they are very hard to get ranked properly. almost knowone looks at them. I wish they worked but they are hardly worth the time to keep track of. Best to start with half-decent domain names and your own web space.

It all depends on your personal preference.

You can do more blogs if you think you will be able to update them and keep your readers happy then build more but if it hurts your readership then I would say don't create extra blogs.

I keep having revelations after revelations, after reading all the opinions u all have.

I think the best way is to create multiple sites and see which are the ones that work best.

Eliminate those that are not making money and build on those that are making money.

Why don't you scale up and build more of these $100 a month sites. You could even target the same niches but different keywords.
