I keep getting mixed reviews about whether or not you are still aloud to offer free + shipping trials. Does anyone know what the rules are with this? It seems that even the credit card processors don't really know whats up.

      Hi Doug,

Go here: VideoProfessor.com and check that site out. I've heard
that this guy has earned several hundred million dollars utilizing the
"free plus shipping" method. Notice on his site that "over 15 million
      people have been taught"...

Notice the "Important Billing Information" to the left of the page.
He spells out everything right there and the person will know exactly
      what the terms are.

There are no hidden charges and no 'recurring' charges that the person
      can't get out of, etc.

The FTC had issues with people/companies that had all kinds of hidden
charges, etc. utilizing the free plus shipping method.

This site hasn't stopped doing 'free plus shipping' and that's probably
because he clearly spells out the terms and conditions, etc.

Remember, the Video Professor site is a major site that has been around
for years with the free plus shipping offer. This guy and his site are in
      the major leagues -

      Just my two cents...

Ok so what makes his site ok is the fact that he is very clear of the terms and there is no ongoing charges?

As long as you're doing things honestly by letting your customers know exactly what they are getting into, then you'll be ok. It's the hidden continuity that will get you shut down, not to mention a ton of refunds and angry customers.

So just make it abundantly clear what your giving them.

This is a great method, however it can leave a nasty taste in a lot of peoples mouths.... -but if you can get it like this, then

Make sure that you let your customers know what they are getting into. If you fail to do so you will be in heaps of trouble later on.

But let me tell you that it makes real good money.
