Does anyone else get a buzz out of searching for and finding great domain names?

I've a huge list of great available domain names, and I'm constantly searching out more.

It's astounding what superb domain names are still available!

Boy do I know this feeling .

What I'm finding now is the domains that I thought were fantastic when I was a complete newbie a year ago but didn't get round to doing anything with are coming up for renewal. Now with the benefit of greater knowledge I realise some of my bright ideas weren't so bright after all .

I wonder how I'll feel about my latest purchases next year.....

Me too Im not buying aged domains, but using my research tool to find new domains that have search volume. I then register them in bulk of 25 at a time for 3 years.

Done it 5 times so far, about to do my next round today. Putting together a blog network as well as tracking how domains do to see if they 'stand up on their own' and cover their costs and then ultimately make a profit on each one.

Too soon to tell though or to report back

Yeah, me too...it's really addicting to anticipate what great domain names will pop up next :-)
One of my favorite ways to look for domain names is actually not on domain name lookup or generator sites.

Most warriors already know this site Fake Name Generator helps you find very credible-sounding pen names. But if you look in the results below the generated name and address section, the site also gives you an available domain name as well. I find a lot of really good 2-syllable domain names this way.

Yes, I love it too. When I found the perfect 5 letter domain the other day, I was pumped. Of course, you have to watch it or you will go bankrupt with this hobby

like all addictions -- it gets expensive --

i now own over 280 TLD's and its expensive real estate investment if you are keeping them and not making money with them -- (as i am guilt of)

My advise is while it is a "great" name ... buy it ... monetize it ... and then repeat or you will end up like me with 150 odd parked domains and a book full of idea ... and no idea which one to start first ... and every year the need renewal ... and the process is repeated ... shiesh i better get my own butt in gear and stop preaching .. thanks for the jump start ....

Yes, I'm guilty of that too, every time I come up with a potential idea, i go and register the domains, every day I get renewal notices as ive been doing that now as well for around 4 years

Lots of domains just sitting and waiting, that is why my new idea above seems better, they get built into sites to become and make up a network

I know someone who has over 2,000 domains names! Not sure they all with Godaddy though, but most of mine are, can't beat them when buying in bulk niche domains

Gosh, thought my 50 domains were excessive - all just waiting for me to do something with them - I just can't find the paper I wrote the ideas for them on though - never mind, if I hold them long enough the ideas might come back, lol.

I use an A4 binder book - one page for each idea .... Its called my book of dreams ... Be sure to add a date on the entry so you can see how long you have had the idea for and then read through it regularly to refresh yourself and keep the dream alive ...

Yeh, one domain hogger here too. I try limit it :]

But it's tough since I keep getting ideas and start fearing that somebody will snatch my domain before I get the .com... so I just pay for the domains.
