If you're going to use free blogs, use them to send traffic to a website (your own domain) you own and have complete control over so you can optimize if for Adsense.

I would add to what Gary said and say don't use free blogs at all if you're serious about building a business and an income... unless of course you want to give wordpress.com or blogger.com the ability to close your blog and ruin your income for no reason if they see fit.

(Not saying this is you OP but...) I've said before and it's worth repeating that if you don't have $9 for a domain name and a few dollars a month for a webhost, it's not the right time to start an internet business.

There are a couple free platforms which actually promote the idea of you adding adsense, and splitting the revenue with them. One is Squidoo, the other is HubPages.

This obviously is not the ideal method. Ideally you want to create your own blogs on your own hosting for both safety, and to keep all the profits.

If you do not have any money to invest in hosting or domain names, then try the two above, but make sure every penny you earn is reinvested in your business to buy domain names and hosting as fast as possible.

I totally agree with the above answers. I have free blogs setup at the following sites.

    Wordpress
    Blogger
    Tumblr
    Multiply
    Typepad
    Posterous
    Vox
    Bolt

What i do is rewrite each of my articles and put a copy on each site linking back to my main site which is a wordpress blog hosted on Hostgator.

    Regards

Hey, Kim, besides Blogger and WP, do any of those other blogs allow you to email posts to them?

Thanks! I also forgot that Tumblr lets you email posts as well.

But none of those others? Hmmm...
