      Dude you are cool...

The only thing you missed was outsourcing the management of all the content flow from creators to prospects and customers....

And I am serious about this. The day I reach 25K month, I will start outsourcing almost all the stuff except spending my money....

Sorry, but that's the last thing you should outsource.

The worst support I see is from people who outsource it, because the help desk people don't care. It doesn't affect them directly if you ask for a refund or don't buy again from that seller.

I consistently get better support from those who care enough to do it themselves.

Hint: if your products and delivery systems are good, you shouldn't have that many support requests.

Chris! While I appreciate what you are saying over here, I must say that you need to have a trained team of professionals that work on your Customer Support system.

NOw with that said, I also have a few hgints to reply to what you have justed hinted to.

Hint: You will not have a lot many customer related support requests if your product is good. WRONG! As far as what I have seen, I get more support requests for my better products from customers that are IMPLEMENTING the methods outlined in the products and are stuck with something. And then finally the greatest products are those that produce results... Which is possible only when people take action... And when they dop take action, they wioll have a fair number of doubts.

Hint: Bill gates is not doing all the customer support himself. And he sure has some good quality products on his hands. Think big! Think Networking, Automation and Outsourcing.

P.S. Do not get mad at me for having expressed my opinion. Thats all that I have done... Expressed my opinion.

Somebody needs to tell the "gurus" this, since most of them I've tried to get support from have outsourced support that is terrible.

Terrible as in ignoring help desk tickets, not delivering products, not delivering bonuses, etc.

It says to the customer "you aren't important enough for me to deal with".

Is that the image you want to have?

Companies like Microsoft have employees. I thought this thread was about outsourcing.

Do you really want to use Microsoft as an example of customer support that we should model?

Anything can be outsourced effectively, you just need to know who to outsource with, that makes it: time, cost and quality effective.

And I agree with Chris, last thing you should outsource is customer support. If you are in dire need of doing so, don't outsource, hire 1 or 2 people and train them hard on your business model until they know it inside out before even considering giving them access to customer support.

And I still prefer to outsource everything else but that, I answer every single e-mail or phone call myself. I do have an assistant but I won't give him customer support until he knows my stuff by heart.

    Dan

P.S: The rest of Stanley's list is perfect, don't forget product launch.

Any thing which is done repeatedly is what I document and outsource.
