Any one here have any experience with host monster aka. blue host. I am looking for your thoughts on this service if you have used or currently use it.

      You should be fine with Hostmonster/Bluehost/Fastdomain/Whatever company Matt Heaton thinks up next!

      There isn't really mcuh to choose between the "big boys" when it comes to shared hosting.

      You'll be ok as long as you don't use up a lot of resources, if you hit x% of resources per hour you'll be suspended and need to upgrade to a bigger plan, but that would only happen if you had a very high traffic/resource heavy site - which is a good problem to have!

      If you fancy being a bit adventurous, I run a hosting company with a business partner that has been going strength to strength for the past 18 months and we'd be happy to have you. (As a customer...!)

    I know the CEO had his wordpress blog hacked over and over for like a year striaght... And the very hacker was hosted on blue host..

      To the OP... I am unable to send emails using Blue host at the moment... and this has been a p[roblem for like 3 months... So I am not continuing after this year.

      And yes, this is after having sent multiple emails asking for support.

    Bluehost is my web host, and they've been very helpful in the past when I had questions. Once I even called them in the middle of the night, and they actually answered the phone and solved my problem. I'm very satisfied with their services so far.

    Hostgator, Dowtown Host, and Servint are my favored hosts right now. I do not recommend Blue Host, and quite a few phpLD customers had negative experiences with them. I will say that we have not received as many complaints lately, so I may change my mind on this given a little more time. I highly recommend searching for the name of your host on webhostingtalk.com and see what people are saying before committing to a hosting plan with anyone.

      Thanks for all the replies.

      Looks like I need to do a little more searching. I am considering
      a dedicated server but ran across this host monster page and
      from what i read it seemed to good to be true. Maybe it is maybe
      it isn't. any suggestions on a dedicated service. Liquidweb is
      highly recommended but a bit out of my pay reach right now.

    I've have domains with Blue Host and HostGator. You get a little more in the cpanel with Blue Host and it is also cheaper than HostGator. Don't get me wrong, I haven't had problems with HostGator. You just get more for your money at Blue Host. Unless you want a re-seller account, Blue Host doesn't have those. Take a look at my website, I offer a few video bonuses when you order Blue Host from my site.

    Whatever it is, don't use aplus and Dreamhost. I have had bad experience with them. Don't waste your time with them.

    I use hostmoster - I'm really happy with them. I got a phone call from them a few hours after I joined them - just to welcome me. Pretty kewl considering I'm in Australia.

    They're really cheap & have unlimited everything (almost) - way more than others are offering. So I get more for less.

    I'm not a huge user tho - I have about 30 sites, but they're not really high traffic.

    I have about 30 domains hosted at DreamHost. No complaints. Mind you, they don't use cPanel. But then I didn't feel the need for it since their own panel is pretty decent.
