You already know how to make $1600 in 10 days and you've shared that knowledge with your friend. Honestly, if he won't listen to you (who I assumes he trusts), why would he listen to some random member of a forum?

Its very tricky to make that type of money without prior knowledge or without your own product.

The only thing I could say at this point would be website flipping but even that takes a lot of work. And some capital in the beginning.

He may be able to do this with heavy work on affiliate marketing. He should create a few landing pages and post links everywhere possible ... focus on fast-indexing pages, or already indexed pages with the target keywords on it (think Yahoo! Answers, Squidoo, Hubpages, blogs, etc...).

To make $1600 it will be 10 intense days

Ummm an inexperienced marketeer friend wants to make $1600 in 10 days something many struggle with for years.

You know how to do it, tell him but he won't listen to you.

Instead he is thinking of spending money he doesn't have much of on a PPC campaign where he has absolutely no experience.

And you are on here asking how he can make money instead of letting him ask himself or figure it out for himself even though you gave him your best advice.

Did I get all that correct?

The problem with this question is, it can be anything, a warrior could do it in a day with PPC, another could do it in a week with social networks, others forums. Any instant traffic method will do this, it just depends on your market and how good you are at getting that traffic. (SEO is instant traffic, nor is email lists, well it is if you got a list). So basically, pick a traffic method, not anything paid and send them to affiliates. The reason why I say not PPC because it is something like, only 1/10 campaigns actually work and you can loose a lot of money quick if you don't what your doing.

And you say he is still deciding "which way to go" - I assume to date he has earned about $0. Why does he think he can now make money fast?

The person seems to have a day job, little time and money - and there isn't any magic formula that appears just because someone "needs" money fast.

If it is a dear friend and a one time crisis - you know how to generate the money so do it for him one time. Maybe when he sees what is possible he'll become more focused himself.

Maybe I'm a bit jaded, but here goes...

1. Go to a popular marketing forum like the Warrior Forum.
2. Post a question asking how successful Warriors would make $X in Y days.
3. Collate the methods into an ebook.
4. Sell 50 copies @ $32 to get $1600

Kind of a condensed "Joe Kumar" play...

The rule number one that some newbies don't realize quite fully is that in internet marketing just like in anything else the money will not come out of thin air!

So, to make close to $2000 in less than two weeks, one first need to have 1) a darn good understanding about the business. 2) Some kind of system in place like blogs or site, a product... something!!!. 3) some kind of advertising that is rolling.

Those are at least the three MUST have.

Starting from Ground Zero he or you are not going to make 16,000 in 10 days. You or he probably won't make anything in 10 days. Does he have a product made that he can sell? Does he have great skills that he can work his butt off to make that kind of money selling a service in 10 days? Has he ever tried PPC before without owing Google his first born child?

It's a job ... real work. You have to pick a method of your choice and learn everything about it and then get to work doing it. No guarantees of income.

If I was brand new to IM and had to make $1,600 in 10 days, I'd panic. There are a lot of threads that ask how to make a specific amount of money in a specific (and normally short) amount of time. In 99% of these examples, it's just not gonna happen.

There are no get rich quick paths in IM. There aren't even that many "get rich slow" paths that work either.

The truth is, the vast majority of people who have big success online build it up slowly over time and stick with things for the long haul.

I don't think you make alot in this small amount on time.

I mean, you need to setup a website, create a product or a blog or write articles or whatever.

If you wanna sell products from your own site then it will take you more than 5 days trying to get setup and familiar with the tools of web design and stuff.

My suggestion, don't start IM with an unrealistic goal as this. It's a business and you need to work you way up slowly and gradually. Success won't happen overnight or even in 10 days.

Maybe he can start with some offer here on WP, service or something. But he'll certainly need some time to catch up a things in IM to get into the whole story, it's just so easy.

I have a method that can help you.
1. Look for some outsourcing firm/s or a group of freelancers who can create 55 articles per day at $2 per article. It is a must that you interview them and view their samples.
2. Put up an article writing service in any webmaster forum for the normal $5 per 500 words.
3. Rake in some orders and set a 55 article limit. Even better. Put up 6 slots per day.
4. Wait for the 10 days to pass while outsourcing all the articles.
5. Give $2 to your outsourcer and get $3 for all 55 articles per day and you can make your target in 10 days.

NOTE: Not passive but it will definitely work. I do it when I need a quick boost of funds.

Send your friend to the WSO section. There are often times WSO's claiming a person can make at least that much. I've seen many that claim $1,000 in just 24 hours.

Earning $1600 in ten days and GETTING $1600 in ten days are two very different things, and will drastically determine which methods are viable for him. Nearly all affiliate networks don't pay for net 30 or 60. So if needs to actually have the money PAID to him within 10 days, his options are very limited.

1. I like the previous posters arbritage idea. In fact, I like it a lot!
2. As far as promoting someone else's product goes, he'd have to promote something that was an instant payout. Do a search on here, there have been threads discussing products that pay instantly. This method has it downsides, but it can be fast if he can get free traffic to the offer.

Thanks for all the input...some insightful...some hilarious...

Let's break this down...shall we...$1600/10 days = $160 per day/8 hours = $20 per hour.

The question is what would YOU do to make $20 worth of work per hour online? NOT, what I would do, or what my friend should do. ( I am aware that everyone is different, and has different experiences and knowledge)

Why do people think they can come online and make that kind of money without any online skills?

Would i walk up to a lawyer and ask him how i could make $1600 in 10 days?

He would laugh in my face

In saying that if i had no real skills. I would go to elance and write articles for people. without any background you could probably get paid 5 dollars per unique article. So i would write 320 articles. Or 32 articles per day.

Could be done.

When I first started my company we did more than double that in cash upfront in just over a week.

Its 100% possible if you have the right mindset.

Yeah I agree if you have the right mindset and some kind of knowledge of the industry.

It would be pretty hard to sell someone on seo services if the person themselves did not really understand it.

But yes if they can learn about SEO and understand it, even to a basic degree, then that is a good biz plan you have laid out.

Now is there really a friend or you're just getting ideas for your next book/wso/etc? ;-)

Either way, I would go offline. Find a few businesses and market to them that I can build them a top notch website. Do 3 of them and easily rake in at least $1600 in less than 3 weeks. I sold my first site offline for $1800.00 and everything I learned was self taught (much of it from WF)
