March a "low spender" month? Anyone Sense Tight Wallets?

Hey guys and gals,

Its hard to believe that we are a quarter ways through 2010. Sick eh?

How are everyones new years resolutions going? Did you stick to any of them this year?

Anyways... just curious: how did march go for you (business wise)? I always say "there is no such thing as a bad economy... maybe a different economy... but not a bad one" but from what I have been hearing lately... I do wonder how true my belief on the matter is.

Would love to hear your thoughts!

    February was pretty slow, march was "ok". But there were MANY other reasons involved too. Eg. one site of mine had a google penalty, sank in rankings. Writers of mine had problems with ezine. Things like that. Hope all this is solved now.

    I had a great March! January was slow for me believe it or not. Things start to get real slow for me around May for whatever reason.

      March is a surprisingly slow month for me. Traffic volumes have gone up but conversions have gone way down.

      I am involved in many niches but that's the general trend observed in Mar.

        After a very shaky Nov/Dec, Jan, Feb and March have been a bit above average. March was good.

        Looking deeper into my stats is more revealing. Sales to Americans have always been about 60% of my business, with the UK, Australia and Canada accounting for almost all the rest. Since this year started, American sales have dwindled to about 35% of the total, whereas the other countries (primarily UK and Australia) have increased substantially to more than compensate.

          March was pretty good for me... I wrote an eBook on grape growing years ago and it's a seasonal seller with March being the peak... but if you took that out of the picture... not that great... have to agree with Martin on the stats...

            March was exactly how I expected it to be uneventful. Not to say it was bad but had about 30% less sales.

            Then again I didn't expect much from the first quarter so had planed out a load of articles, sales pages, 2 ebooks and 5 resources to write up this with my new product has given me enough to keep my mind of the cold dark months that 2010 has brought so far.

    Hey guys, this is a good place to share about how our sales are doing. Sometimes, when you are alone, a thousand and one questions run through your mind. "Are sales poor because of the economy?", "Are other marketers suffering from poor sales as well? Or is it just you?".

    Without hearing from others, you really are walking in the dark not knowing exactly what is happening to your business. But as different ones share, you are able to put a finger to the situation and steer your business in the right direction.

      This march was actually the best month I had online. I broke my previous record by 40% more profit! The best of it was that I didn't change a thing. Just a really good month.
