Is Google Getting bought out?

I just opened Google and saw "Topeka" instead of the usual Google logo. Wondering what the heck was going on I clicked on it and realized it was their annual April Fool's Day joke. I personally liked the email one they did in the past.

Aha!

Appleton, Wiscinsin recently changed their street signs, too. My understanding is that it was in an effort to get the city chosen for testing Google's super-fast service. It is, supposedly, 100 times faster than current connections.

I also believe Google had not yet chosen which cities they were going to first roll out the service in.

So, the question is...

Is Topeka going to be one of those cities? OR, is putting Topeka up there today a joke, meaning they, ultimately, WON'T be chosen?

I think it might just be for the UK but I laughed at Google's "Translate for Animals" beta.
