Need help with hiring a content writer for my micro niche blogs

Hello everyone,

I would like to hire a full time article writer to create all the content for my micro niche blogs. With that said, I don't really know what to expect from an article writer. How many articles a day should I expect from an experienced article writer? These articles will only need to be between 300 - 350 words. How much should I pay a full time article writer? I am more then likely going to hire someone in the Philippines. Should I hire an older or younger writer? or does it really matter. How many days a week should I expect them to work? Were is the best place to find Filipino workers? Someone recommended this site to me: www.bestjobs.ph But the site is no good for me. In order to see contact details for the workers you need to register. When I try to register I get this message:

"We regret to inform you, employer registrations are not currently allowed from your location."

Does anyone know of a similar website?

Thank you,
Gordon

First off I've got to say that I have tried using writers from a different country and it doesn't ever seem to work out very well unless their primary language is english of course.

Every time I work with someone who is not a primary english speaker I've had to go through it and revise a bunch of it.

There were simple mistakes that kind of made it look like it was a spun article but it's just because they can't make it flow like someone who speaks english as their first language.

Also I noticed that they usually try to over adjective everything to make up for a word count.

If you are set on going for someone in the phillipines I'd say go for someone older so they have some decent experience and can make it flow as if english was their first language.

That being said, I think if you only want 300 word articles then a good content writer should be able to get you at least 3 a day. Although usually you will get a weekly set up going if you are looking for constant content.

Now that I've said all of this I'd also like to say that I am a content writer. You can look at my signature and email me if you are interested.

We can discuss what you need and what the price will be.
If not, no problem but heed what I've said about outsourcing to someone who doesn't speak english as their first language.

It's not ALWAYS a problem but I've had a lot of problems

I have just gone through a TON of this stuff and can save you lots of headaches here...

Yes you can find good or even great Filipino writers, but it's going to take you ages and cost you some money. There's a couple ways you can go about it....

    1) Go to your favorite outsourcing spot (odesk, elance etc.) and sort by their feedback scores. Contact each of the top say 20-30 with the exact same email stating EXACTLY what you want (x many articles, x many words, delivered on __ day for __ $). Contact these 20-30 and move on. Most will be to busy to take your work on but it's worth a try and I have had some success with it.

Another option is to post a job to have them write ONE article. Paying higher will get you more candidates and then you can negotiate a deal to do more for a lesser rate until they prove themselves.

How many articles? All of them :-) Seriously, you need content constantly to keep your site freshened up. Actual mileage will vary according to SEO factors, weather or not you're using PPC and how many quality backlinks you have.

As far as bestjobs.ph goes, you cannot access that site unless you are in the Philippines. You CAN get access to it or something similar from a guy called John Jonas but it will cost. Sorry, can't remember the price but I can look it up for you if you like.

Alternatively, just buy from a content provider company based in the US or Canada, pay a little more and avoid the hassles and correction time.
