Does Anybody Use Press Releases?

Hi Warriors,

I've been doing article marketing with quite a bit of success for some time now and I'm looking to expand my repertoire. As I currently do alot of writing I would like to try press releases.

I have done a few searches on this forum but there's not much on the topic. Does anybody use them frequently, if so do you have any advice on where to start or can you please recommend a good info product for me to purchase on the topic.

    I use them all the time - I love them.

    You can find out all you need to know just by going to prweb.com and reading everything they say about using their service. They have a template and complete explaination of how to fill it all in well. It's very simple.

    I usually use their $380 service

      Thanx Anthony2. I searched for pressreleasefire.com in google using the keyword phrase

      press release fire

      and his download page as well as his main site came up in the search. I guess he forgot to put a NO INDEX tag in his code.

        At the end of 2009, my web site traffic had begun to sag. So I began sending out press releases - lots of them, 20 or more a month. My traffic is now up by a third - and actually a bit higher than it ever was.

        So yes, press releases work.

        They increase traffic immediately, directly (through the links in the releases) and indirectly (by increasing page rank).

    Press releases can be gold. Even free ones which I use a lot are fantastic if you use the right ones and make them seo friendly.

    They rank extremely well, even for hard keywords. But often only temporary, like a couple or so days. Very good for products where you can make a release at launch date.

    Press releases absolutely work and are a crucial piece of the puzzle when it comes to SEO. Not sure about a good info product on the subject as I just kinda learned it myself. prweb definitely has some great info and is really the number one source to get the most traction. There are a number of free resources as well, but I haven't seen great results with most of them so I stick with prweb for the most part.
