I am just setting up a new site and am wondering what is the best way to get user reviews to get the site going? Should I create different user accounts and write a couple of my own under difference user names to get the ball rolling? Or is this not acceptable? |

I guess it's acceptable if you are building your business on blatant lies. It takes time to get attention to a new site - make the site as useful as you can, promote it and ask for reviews. kay |

Is it possible to give of out free versions or free offers to get people to review your site/product. People will like to review things if they know that they are getting something out of it.

You would be better off if you simply review the list of those that bought from you and email them for their opinion/testimonial on what they thought. I myself received a few of those from products or services I have purchased. Another smart way is if you have a members site whereby you need to log in to view the videos and get member updates make sure to add an email and invite your members to leave a testimonial. It will take some time but it will be real and that's what I look for in websites. When ever I see a brand new product with several testimonials with all raving it about it I assume they are all fake or have been paid for. Anyway that's what I think... Andres P.S. Remember IM is a process and unfortunately it won’t happen overnight. | |

Well, I am using the WP Review Site plugin and so I have started adding products, but would like some customer reviews now. One of my categories is affiliate marketing products. Is it acceptable to post the URL here and ask for Warrior members to write reviews for me of the products they have tried? |

I myself take the approach of simply sending out an email to my list buyers. You are making a list of buyers right? Getting testimonials can be kind of like getting leads. Simply bribe them with a freebie or even give them half off on your next product for taking the time to give you an honest testimonial. Emphasis on honest. You are not buying a good testimonial but compensating them for their time. I however would only do this once. After you have a handful of testimonials you can simply send out a message to your list asking if they would like to give you a testimonial. Once they start coming in email them back individually and tell them how much you appreciate it and ask if it would be ok to use on the site / sales page. Most of the time they will say yes. Alternatively you can go out and give 10 or so free copies of your product to some trusted sources asking what they think of it. After you get some feedback ask them if you can use their comments as a testimonial on your site / sales page. This works pretty well if your product is new and does not have many sales or no sales at all. |

Thanks for the responses Terry, but I am not selling my own product. I am promoting others products on my site. So I was hoping that some of the people that are on WF could stop by and post a quick, short review of some of the products they have bought.
