What do you think of questions like this?

First, I want to give a little introduction to something that is so often overlooked having to do with what you add to the first part of your post. When you see questions like the title, you can mouseover and read a little bit about what the post is about without clicking. However, in this case I typed enough where even that wouldn't work.

What you think of posts that have a non-descript title and make you click just to see what the thread is about?

They get me to click as well, do not know why. Curiosity I guess. And sometimes if the post is really bad I even click on the signature link to see what the site looks like then. I must have too much time on my hands.

And I do apologize for that, but it isn't something I do, except to make a point with this thread. Obviously, it does attract people to read more, though I have always been a firm believer in good post titles. I suppose one thing that could be done is retitle threads that use non-descript titles.

Personaaly I think its a waste of a thread, it may get someone to click but then they get annoyed and leave.

Well we are marketers, after all, so I guess we even try to increase our CTRs in the threads that we write...lol

Personally I think it's quite annoying. But it does it's job regardless of how I feel. Sly marketing.
