Question about article writing

When writing articles for CPA offers do you

A) Write about any topic that you feel is keyword rich etc and then throw in your offer hoping to convert based solely on traffic?

B) Write an article pertaining to the offer that you are promoting?

I really want to get started writing some articles but want to take the correct approach. I did try searching but did not find an answer to this question. As always, thanks to all who reply. I really do appreciate the feedback and advice.

Writing article for the product which you are promoting is the best idea....

Agreed, write about the product you are promoting...of course make it keyword rich though and use LSI keywords in it too. ...you can accomplish both goals, write a keyword rich article AND have it be about whatever you are promoting (i.e, if it's a product write about the problems that people have in that niche/whatever and then close it with the product/the solution)

I try to be as specific as possible in terms of what I write about.

You should take a look at the product and see what problems it solves, and write about those problems, and how this product will help solve them, etc.

This I have found is the best way to write articles.

If you can solve a problem that people are having, and this product is going to do it for them, then you should be golden.

Excellent post. I will keep that in mind when writing my own articles.

In my opinion, articles should always be intentional - meaning that they should be as well thought out as every other thing you do on the web. Just throwing up a keyword rich article probably isn't going to be enough to convert someone from reader to buyer.

Think of articles as mini sales pitches. You want it to be informative, for sure, but you also want it to act as a gentle presell that will cause them to click on your link (or visit your site, or do whatever it is they're supposed to do). A lot of successful article marketers do this buy solving a problem, but leaving out a little bit of information or one solution that the reader will only discover by clicking through.
