What would you do with a domain you have lost interest in?

I have a few domains that I really do not want to do anything with. Sure they have content on them and in one case even an ebook for sale.

They are however real rubbish websites - so embarrassingly bad that I will not reveal the urls in public. These are the websites that I made all the mistakes on while learning about making money online. (I'm still learning!?)

The domain names however are good in my opinion. Can I sell them? Is this what site flipping is about?

Where would I sell them? I really just want to offload them at cost and forget about them.

I've had a few of those as well - some of them I tried to sell on Digitalpoint (you won't get much for them there), others I've just ended up deleting because they really weren't worth much to anyone . Sitepoint buyers are slightly more discerning so unless the sites have some potential I wouldn't waste my money listing them there.

I got a few of those... Since they are good names though I keep ahold of them for now.. Never know might build a site for them one day ..lol

If you have them at namecheap you could list them for sale for free if you wanted to sell ...

I agree with keeping them for sake of the good domain names. I mean, what's a few dollars per year to re-register them? You might eventually decide to scrap the content on them and develop them a bit. Never say never, right?

If you've decided you're gonna unload them, though, you can always go the Ebay route, if SitePoint and DigitalPoint aren't working out. Somebody on Ebay will probably offer you a pittance at least for a good domain name.

Not to mention that simply the domain age provides value, especially one that's over a year old.

Don't give up on those yet, the site may be garbage, but that is easy enough to update.

      Best!

        Yes you can sell them.

        Some places to do so:
        sitepoint
        digitalpoint
        sedo

        If you want pm me.

If they are in fact good, I'll buy them.

For 90% of them I can put "something" up and at least make enough to pay the annual fee.

It is okay to contact me! I have been developing software since 1999, creating many popular products like phpLD.
