Hi, I have 2 QUICK questions... 1) How do you make the wordpress blog title appear in the link? such as www.blog.com/my-first-blog-post.htm AS OPPOSED to www.blog.com/32423 2) How do you make your website have a NEXT button or show MORE posts in one page? my blog at lottojournal.com only shows 3 recent posts and not any old posts...how do i make sure the old posts are available to my readers like having a NEXT button or showing more posts? I'm setting up a blog for a friend and I want to fix this. Thanks BJ |

Ok I just checked my blog. If you have wordpress 2.6 (this is what I have right now) you should go to settings/reading. There it says: "Blog pages show at most - xx posts". I have ~4 posts on my blog and I've set that value to show 2 posts. I refreshed the page and a "previous posts" link was showing at the bottom of the page (homepage). Does this help? |

Hi BJ I can only answer your first question. To change your premalinks. Right here is how i have done it on my blog. 1) Add a blank file to your blog root directory and call this 'htaccess' then change the premission to '777' to this new file. 2) Go to your premalink structure and select 'Custom Structure' option and add this code /%category%/%postname%/ 3) Finally go to the bottom of the page and click 'Save Changes' Once you have done the above you should see a message confirming permalink structure saved. Hope this helps. All the best Ash |

777 isn't needed. Htaccess takes the browser from /10/10/08/post-name to index.php?p=1234
