So Sergey and Page call you up and say " dooood, we are feeling generous. Pick 1 keyword that you want a no.1 ranking for"

What KW do you pick ?

You stay no.1 forever.

For me, it would have to be in the financ niche. Mortgages, credit cards, maybe loans. Not too sure tbh.

    Weight loss. Just look at all of the weight loss products and attention.

    T.V. shows like the Biggest Loser, cable exercise programs, tapes, books, three or four different national chains like Weight Watchers, Jenny Craig, Oprah's ongoing adventures with weight...

    Don't see it slowing down at all. As a matter of fact, more people are jumping in.

    This has got to be one of the biggest rivers of money there is.

      The online porn industry sadly enough is making an absolute killing. Always has and always will. It is 100% recession proof.. Actually. Online porn is probably DEPRESSION proof. lol

    Bad choice... adult has terrible sales ratios and you're advertising to people who are searching for "FREE" and aren't interested in "buying". "porn tube" would be a better option if you're willing to pay for the bandwidth. Many of those sites on page #1 are Alexa top 100 sites and are making a killing, even if they are giving away the milk for free. "Sex Cams" would be another good adult keyword.

    Actually, quite the opposite. It's a guilty pleasure and those are the first things to be hit when money is tight.

    I think I'd go with "    weight loss" myself. It's a timeless keyword that will always be popular and you can always switch out and mix up whatever it is you're selling. It would also be an easy site/niche to maintain.

      Terrible sales ratio....For millions of hits a month ..... 1/2% conversion to sales at a $5 monthly membership would make you pretty rich in 6 months...

      And if people searching and looking for something FREE did not buy...Most of internet marketers would already be out of business...

    Actually, I'll correct myself. You are correct, but for different reasons than what I was thinking.

    For the amount of traffic that "free porn" gets. You'd make a killing through on-site advertising. You don't even need to sell anything.

      I did not even think about that...Banner ads for other Sites and Some google Adsense would be more than enough to supply a pretty hefty paycheck...

    Not sure if it was sex(dot)com or some other domain in this theme that had a massive tug of war years ago. The guy who bought the domain originally, probably in the 80s still, someone hijacked his domain and it took him years to get it back, but now he is probably a millionaire. Aaah wish I was in a position back then with what I know now.
