How to Track Affiliate Link CTR

Hi Guys,

Hoping someone here can help me with a question - I am experimenting with some affiliate links, I am posting them in some relevant forums (Not Here) and sites, eg Twitter etc.
But I need to be able to get information from each link such as the CTR.
Any suggestions - Free tracking stuff would be my first choice right now!

Thanks All
Eamonn

You could accomplish this with redirects and Google Analytics.

    1. Post links to a page on YOUR site like widgets.html

    2. widgets.html will then have a tracking tag for Google Analytics(free) so that you can track how many visitors it receives. Those are the people that clicked your ad.

    3. widgets.html will also have a URL redirect (look it up) in the html code to your affiliate tracking URL so that when you send traffic there it will be sent immediately to your affiiate URL. You may have to include a few seconds of delay if Google Analytics is not tracking the redirect when it happens immediately.

    4. Then just setup a unique page like the above for each affiliate product.

    I hope that helps.
