There's a few ways you can approach internet marketing. You can go the whole roundabout dabbling route and experiment in a lot of different areas or pick one area and stick with it and get really good at it. Use this forum extensively and maybe considering picking up some good WSO's to get you on your feet even faster. But don't give up, perseverance is key in IM and remember that it doesn't always pay out "per hour" like other jobs, but your hard work will eventually be rewarded.

When you sign up for an email list to get a free product, do two things. First evaluate the product to see if it is more than just an affiliate or product ad. Then collect about a week or two of emails from the sender. If either the product is incomplete for what it is, or if you are receiving more emails pointing you to affiliate sales (That is what those emails you mentioned are) unsubscribe and delete the ebook.

Very briefly, one aspect of affiliate marketing strategy is to find a free product to give away, setup a squeeze page with an auto-responder and when someone signs on, send them affiliate offers from other IM gurus.

The problem with following these offers is that you can get lost in information overload very quickly and never know the best product to use, even if you are holding it in your hand right now.

Find a system you can afford and afford to follow. Stick with it come hell or high water and do every step. Contact the originator for help if needed and never give up until you have completed every step.

Don't chase 'shiny things', as other programs are called.

Look carefully over what you have and see if you can follow the steps. If not, then look for another, otherwise, start one and ignore everything else.

Sorry to be so blunt, I am a 'shiny thing' addict of over two years. I am just now getting past the chase it all down stage. It is a habbit that is hard to break.

Good luck, and let me know if I can help.

The big gurus offer lots of free information which can help you. I'd say grab and read as much free stuff as you can.

They cope by deciding to just apply alot of free information and advice found on this forum, and acting on it, then when they have enough money for it, they can perhaps buy a few courses that people promote in their emails, aslong as they can afford them.

All the necessary info you need to be successful at marketing online, is available right here - at the warrior forum.

If you spend a little bit of time reading through the posts. You'll find that there's plenty of actionable content that you can put to use immediately. All you need to do is apply some of the knowledge here... and usually it's given away - freely.

Knowledge is power only when it's been put into action/use.

    welcome,
beware of all promises, as the ultimate goal is to make you buy something. Remember we humans have a weakness and that is, we all want a lot for doing less!

Take a piece of paper and write down what you need to achieve online. Be very specific.

Write down what you know about:

    website building

    marketing

    backlink building

to name just a few. If you lie, you lose!

From all my mistakes, you might be better off, creating niche sites. Your learning curve is shorter and you can find 1 or 2 ebooks with a clear plan. Pm me and i will direct you to a good one.

Ask yourself questions and do not believe all the good sales letters you see. Goodluck and welcome to an exciting industry, where 10% of those that know, earn 80% of the internet wealth and the remaining 90% are reloading with a better aim.

I agree whole-heartily with this statement. Before you even put your name down on a list or pay for something take your mouse up to the top of the page and hit search.

Be sure to select "Search Threads" and start hammering out questions. You will be learning the basic ropes very quickly.

    Just Choose a method
Build a plan and decide on your plan of action
    Stick to your plan

Don't get distracted by any email trying to sell you anything after you have bought one thing. Just pay attention to what I just said and you will save yourself couple of months.
