Is Having a Mini Site or Wordpress Blog a Better Idea?

I am currently creating a number of niche mini sites to generate some adsense income. I was wondering if I am better off creating mini sites and drive traffic using article marketing or should I turn them into blogs instead?

Which is a better option in terms of SEO and for Google Search? Would mini sites fade away if I don't touch them after creating them? Need some advice here!

Well google loves fresh content, so in your case if your doing adsense then I would say create blog sites and update them evey once in a while. You only real want a minisite if you are promoting a clickbank product for example. For adsense my advice would be definately stick with blog type sites.

if you start with a blohg and write unique content that will be indexed then you can set it up as an autoblog to make new posts every day. However do not forget to write a unique post every so often

Good advice, personally I don't do blogging and adsense just clickbank affiliate sales using sales page type mini sites.

I tried auto blog but I don't think Google will index my posts since most of them are link to the original sources...

You could buy unique blog posts, set them up with an autoblog tool, or as scheduled posts, and have them roll out automatically.

If you buy short blog posts/articles you can buy them very cheaply. PLUS...You can post these articles to article directories, all pointing back to YOUR blog and articles, giving you more back links, and potentially more visitors.

Then instead of having all the power going OUT from your site, it is all coming IN to your site.

You are good going that creating some mini sites and want to generate some income through ads. You are right that you can get traffic using article marketing but not enough I think. So you should hire a SEO expert and target some keywords for getting traffic. You will get best result through some small investment.

        Thanks...

If you have a niche that is making you money ... make your sites GROW. Using wordpress and blogs is what you should aim for anyway if you are getting you rtraffic mostly from SEO.

Any questions just let me know

If you are aiming to resell them later on, I think that a wordpress blog is the way to go as I believe that will be more attractive to buyers unless you have an easy to use cms for your other site.

I would go with a Wordpress site, a practice that I have recently deviated from to my regret. (I will be changing my mini site over to WP soon.)

Main advantage is that you can easily update and add to the content (posts, images, video etc) - which the search engines just lurve. Several WP themes have an optional squeeze page that can be incorporated into the site (I've used the Flex Squeeze option with Flexibility Theme) with good results.

      Hello

Use these following methods to drive traffic to your blog!
Set up an email subscription form on your blog, create a feed on myyahoo.com,leave comments on other blogs with a link to your blog, use ping-o-matic to ping blog directories. Do this every time you post something on your blog, submit your blog to search engines, submit your blog to blog directories, add a link to your blog in your email signature file, use rss feed, post everyday, and write articles submit it article directories and make sure use backlinks.

      Goof Luck!
      Jamian.

I used to be really into creating one major site and building it up with over 10keywords. Lately though I've been doing minisites that focus on 1-3keywords and getting those ranking. Mini-sites that perform well, I work on expanding and turning into major sites. Its a good way to test different markets and see whats hot and whats not.

It doesn't matter if you want to make websites or blogs, you can build them both on the WordPress platform. WordPress blogs and websites are super easy to build, change and update and the search engines love them. It doesn't get any better than that.

Your content is what matters. That and backlinks. The technology behind the scenes is not important. Go with what you are most familiar with.

You should be spending more time with writing good content, RSS pings, Web 2.0 backlinks, articles with dofollow and the like, and not worrying about WP vs HTML or what-have-you.

Too many people get bogged down in the details and lose the big-picture.

There really is no difference. I have blogs that haven't been updated for months together, and they still rank number to this day. What I do is once in a while run a backlinks campaign that lasts for couple months.

I agree Google loves big sites, but small sites are not going anywhere soon.

If you are doing a blog, I strongly recommend you consider removing ads. They are one of the most inefficient ways to make money online. I posted a video on my blog about this a few days ago...

Why You Should Remove Ads From Your Blog

Having a blog doesn't mean being on the first pagealthough Having a minisite doesn't either.
But there are some differences, blogging means you will have to BUILD Backlinks, Add content etc - these really take time. And if you have several Blogs, that TIME is several times more.
If you are not targeting high competitive niches, having minisite is simply better since your traffic resource will be Article Marketing.
Also, about getting delisted (fade away):
    1. You don't have to care about that since you want to drive traffic using Article marketing.
    2. Even if you do care, if you link once a month to the website, it won't get delisted.
    Personally I find blogging hard.

    It was my opinions
    Hope that helps.
    Alex

Can you manage all your wordpress sites from one dashboard?

No. You can't manage multiple wordpress installation from one dashboard. But you can always copy your blog from one domain to another manually.

And with wordpress, you never know when they come up with this feature.

I actually heard this feature was coming in 3.0... this isn't the original source, but it mentions it.

I'd go with Wordpress as it's much easier/simpler to add content quickly and you don't have to worry about the technical aspect as much. It'd also help immensely with your search engine rankings as Google absolutely loves it. The plug-ins will also help immensely with your SEO efforts, and it's going to be much easier to do than with a mini-site that you develop from scratch.

I Vote blog because there are some really cool SEO Widgets you can add on your blog that will make your site rank higher. Do a bit of keyword research too and see what everone is searching for - make these your title posts and add them in your post aswell! this will help dramatically!

Don't forget to also do some advertising through other sources aswell! it'll help your rankings dramatically in search results. Hope this helps..

    Take care
