How I learn to collect mailing list. An untold story !

Build Mailing List is never being easy.

Here a story of Mr. L. He was a student, when he heard for the first time the word, "Internet Marketing".

Lucky for him, his Uni provide the fastestt internet on earth with speed 1kb per minutes. With this 'convenience' facility, he learned how to google thing. Learn, how to wordpress, ops, I mean how to blogspot. And later on, how to wordpress.

He learned a lot about internet marketing. All self taught. This continue for 2 years, and the effort is paid. After two years, 'learning' about internet marketing, he has earn $100 (for 2 years effort) from internet, which is cool for some self taught brat, and the best part is, he dropped out.

His parent blame and blame and flame him. Poor him.

A few months later, he found an autoresponder service which is good and cheap. Guess what, while he doing researched back then, he come across the word "mailing list" and a quote "money in the list", not once, but thousands. Yes, THOUSANDS, but he never intend to build one, because, he went to Aweber and see the ridiculous price.

This guy was also, a free ebook seeker. Which, thats why, he never know other Autoresponder then Aweber. Every ebook that discussed about, building a mailing list, will never miss to suggest Aweber as a good autoresponder. Most of the link been cloaked with tiny url, filled up with affiliate links. Cheap marketing !

Day after he found that cheap autoresponder, he spend two night to browse his external hard disk which now almost full.

Tada......at last, he found that. Yes, an A to Z ebook talk about Building A Mailing List...

    I've found the best and quickest way to build a list from scratch is to do PPC ... or if you can do partnerships and JV.

    Hard to beat building a list that way.

      I'm not sure, how many part it will be. I just write what I believe will benefit others.

      Yes, I know it's hard to build a mailing list from nothing. But, it will be a lot easier when you have that credibility.

    let me continue the story....

    When the guy found out, he must have an autoresponders, he decided to install a free autoresponder script. I already forgot, which script it is, but it was full with bugs.
    And now, he wrote an ebook, at that time, the topic discussed on the ebook was very hot. Everyone discuss about it.

    He went to a local forum, bow and gave respects to all other forumers there, and start promoting at appropriate thread, ie, the WTS thread. Guess what, he had to pay a dime but worth the pay.

    Nothing to grow yet, but start collecting others respects and compliment. What a nice move, he first had a blog, and wrote a few tricks on it, which actually can be found online, but since people nowadays, are lazy to browse things themselves, this guy, spoon feeding everybody with useful articles with his blog.

    In the same time, when people opt in to his autoresponder, there were broguht to the blog as a download page. So, he killed to birds with a throw. What a move I guess !
    Got a lead plus a traffic to blog.

    Since offering a lot of things were always work, people love him so much. Once visited his blog, will visit a lot of time.

    But..sunny day will never last forever. The script installed, couldn't work properly. After only about a hundred mailing list, the script not functioning anymore.

    This little guy, had to start all over again. At that, time, he got neither credit card nor debit card. So, Aweber and Get Response only get stared from far away.

    Lucky to him, he had subscribed to a mailing list which used norabots. By using someone else paypal, he managed to use Norabots and start again collecting mailing list.

    This time, he was really aggresive. Nope, super aggresive. He use Pay Per Lead format to collect mailing list. Pay 50 cents for a lead, maybe sound stupid, but when have 3000 mailing list in a month, then you sure, it was really a good investment.

    Not only once, but hundreds of time blasting to the mailing list, and yet still caught someone answered by hearing 'ka ching' sound.


    I guess... I have to stop here, will continue later on, about what to write......

    I have never been a fan of Aweber or GetReponse. Anyone can find just as good autoresponders for far less of a price tag if they take the time.

      Aweber is the best. When I broadcast my emails, its deliver to all.
      But, the price is killing me.....

    Since I got a good response here, maybe I thought this sharing, quite benefit all of us.
    Here are some autoresponder that accept paypal and no extra charge for having more than 5,000 subscribers.

    1. Norabots Smart PRO Autoresponders: Unlimited Follow-Up Autoresponders Before this, its price was $10, but now raise for $15 per month
    2. Email Marketing Solutions from TrafficWave.net | email marketing autoresponders , you also can earn some income with this MLM autoresponders, $17 per month
    3. Directresponders.com will give you the tools that you need to send your subscribers messages automatically, not so famous, but a friend of mine, said, this is a good autoresponder, besides, its delivery rate is 93% and above. What a good autoresponder for only $10
    4. I used, Website Automation Center to manage my customer, it cost me $29 for 10,000 subscribers which also included a lot more automatic online business tool.

    I am now using aweber, and pay $70 per month for about 5k subscriber. In the same times, I am paying for norabots and netprosoft. My investment to keep emails that say rude things to me is about $100...
    worth it?

    I bet....worth it.
