Paypal isues with UK Bank account! Anyone else ...

.....in the Uk having problems?

This past week I dont think I have managed to make a payment from my bank account via paypal.

I received a few emails form paypal stating that either I had insufficient funds, even though I had just put £250 into my bank this past week, or that 'this service is currently unavailable!'

And just now I went to make a payment using my bank as the source and the option was greyed out. The echeque was available, but that takes too long to clear.

I use the Royal Bank of Scotland. Have they gone south?

They certainly have, as far South as London anyway: they're being nationalised today. (Perhaps unsurprisingly for such a grotesquely mismanaged bank, they've caved at the first sign of trouble and can't possibly survive any other way.)

RBS are experiencing serious problems at the moment and their value has fallen by around 60%. Them like many of the other banks are being bailed out by the government and tax payer.

Perhaps I should keep up with the news more often!

I think I will register a different bank account with paypal, just in case!
