Why are you interested in marketing?
 

Why are you interested in online or offline marketing? Or both?

What about owning your own business appeals to you?

And how do you decide which books or course you get? What I mean is, what do you look for in marketing books and courses which makes you buy that particular book or course?

What appealed to me about online marketing was the fact that I could combine several of my interests: writing, designing, and the various subjects I create sites around. It's the perfect field for me.

As for owning my own business - what's not to like? :) I'm a very independent person so I like not having to do things someone else's way. I love my little office, and I love having my own schedule.

Thanks for your reply, Laura. Have you taken any courses, or read any books on the subject to learn more about it?

And, if so, how did you determine which books or courses would be suitable for what you needed?

I didn't take a course to learn affiliate marketing; I just read and read and read online and experimented on my own. But that's not the method I really recommend because it took so long, and I wasted time going down some dead-end roads and trusted some people I shouldn't have. So that's why I wrote my own course—it's the course I wish I'd had when I started.

Since then, I have bought a couple of books/ebooks to learn more about certain facets of Internet marketing. What helped me make the decision on which ones would be best was whether it was from someone who had truly earned my trust over time.

I am interested in Marketing, mainly online, to help other people out. With the economy being what it is, everyone could use some extra cash now and then. If I can help someone from losing their home, or car, or something like that, my job is done. If I happen to pick up a few dollars along the way, even better.

I really like the aspect of being your own boss, and being able to do this from anywhere in the world that has an internet connection.

What appeals to me in the IM niche is someone who is real, and not marketing something to me. I don't want to be treated like a piece of cattle in their marketing maze, prodded in the direction to spend even more money.

Get those $4,683.00/ day stats out of here if you are going to say in the same breath that you make millions on line every year! Because it obviously begs the question...how much did you spend on that traffic then? Did you just prepare for a few weeks/months and spend 10k a week to build up those stats? Or how are your "snag-it"/photo shop skills??

Sorry, ranting...but seriously, enough with the screen shots and get real, that's what appeals to me.

I am interested in online marketing, because it gave me the option to not work for someone! I spent my final year of university dreading the thought of working for someone! So I just told myself, that won't be happening!

I like marketing because what I do involves computers and the internet, statistics, and psychology. What could be more fun?

I think for many people, the profit or secondary income in an attraction.
