URGENT HELP Needed PLEEEEASE!

Ok - Im in trouble!

Tried to install fasterIM optin plugin on my wp site today.
Popup would pop.
Documentation said to try and change general settings - I did.

Now - I cant login!
wp wont send me a 'lost password' message
login screen just keeps returning with no error message

my site looks like crap - the theme is gone - Complete Personal Development.com
its just words and little red crosses!

I have posted to the wp help forum but they wont have a password for me!!! (how dumb!)
Ive tried to send email to support but am redirected to the forum!

Im about to SCREAM!

Can anybody help me please?????

      Well, I'm no blog genius, BUT! I have learned that in every file for every plugin or widget, there's a ReadMe file with the instructions.

      See if you can find that and if there's a link to their support page with any known issues for your blog platform.

      And taking it outta' the FTP should help altogether.

    Login to your ftp account just like you did when you uploaded the plugin and delete it..

    Hi Rachel, I did something similar and could not recover my pass word. Then I went into the program proper, that is the source code, if that makes any sense, and could change my password there. It usually uses admin as the log in name.

    Hi Kym,

    As you said it is due the the said plugin,
    you need to disable that plugin to fix your blog.

    And as you cannot login to your blog,
    simple solution to disable a plugin is as suggested by Craig already.
    i.e. Access your website through FTP,
    go to Blog folder, then wp-content folder and then plugins folder,
    here you need to delete any folder or file associated to that plugin.

    ---
    Also if you have added any custom code related to this plugin
    into your wordpress theme, you may need to edit that file also
    using ftp, download that file to your computer, remove the plugin
    related code, and then upload to your server overwriting the previous
    file.

    This will solve the problem.

    Thankyou Moshin - but I have managed to delete the plugin but still no joy!

    I have seen really good reviews on this plugin so it is probably me and not the plugin!
    I usually have Houdy do all my wp work - I outsource heaps and only concentrate on what I do well, but for this new site, I wanted to do it all 'myself'!!!!!

    I guess this is why i outsource so much stuff!
    I know what my strengths and weaknesses are - and techie stuff is not one of my strengths!

    Luckily for me - Seree (the plugin creator) is here in the forum now and is helping me resolve the issue!
    If he cant help me - I think Im screwed!
    Then I might even cry!!!
    I have put a ton of work into this newest site of mine!

    Thankyou for everyones input - I'll let you know how it turns out soon!
    (and probably that I was having a blonde moment! - yes I AM blonde!!!)

    It seems that you also have a quote rotator plugin or script which conflicts with Faster-IM. Try disabling that as well.

      Hi Kym,

      I was wondering what happened when I went to look at your
      site earlier.

      Try this, I had it worked out and solved for me when I had
      problems with my site:

      Call Your Hosting For Support.

      In my case, mine's HostGator. I went to their online customer
      service and had someone help me with the site - even for
      my blog.

      When he couldn't solve it, it went all the way to the higher
      levels until the issue was solved.

      You could try that.

    I asked for help here after trying EVERYTHING that I could possibly think of!

    I now have the creator of the plugin working on it for me!

    I am very lucky in that he is also a microsoft certified programmer!

    I am pretty sure this is something I stuffed up not knowing any better rather than any problem with the actual plugin - so I am very lucky to have such a wonderful helpful family here at the WF.

    I know you visit regularly Ash - I'll let you know when Im back up and running!
