Why do 83% of all service providers (including WSO) use plural when offering their services? I mean in most cases it's pretty obvious it's just one person, a computer and one of SEO tools that do the job. Why advertise yourself as 'We are a team of link builders/article writers/...'?

Do people actually take a team more seriously than an individual service provider? I mean in the end it's all about the testimonials and the work quality. I don't care if there are 100 people behind my order or just a dedicated individual.

why do people who kill themselves shoot themselves in the head?

    That's where the voices are.

Maybe it's because they ARE a team, of sorts. It's very common for people to outsource article writing and link building.

There are many reasons - perhaps they want people to think they're bigger than they are? they outsource a lot so they want to make sure people don't think they're going to do everything themselves (that might seem like nothing would get done properly) etc..

It's true, odds are if anyone's making a significant income, they really are employing a team of people to make it possible. You really limit your potential when you try to make yourself complete all the mundane tasks associated with internet marketing.

Some of us use the plural because we actually are a team of people...lol. I put together a team of writers that work with me. I don't get orders and then go outsource it to whoever is cheapest. I actually screened my writers very carefully before allowing them to be a part of the team and they are removed from the team should their standards fall.

I know that many "teams" aren't really true teams but I'm sure I'm not the only one who is truthful.

As to why a team might be preferable in some cases, it usually wouldn't matter unless you need a lot of content. Someone who wants to get 200 articles per month is going to need a team.

So the question is do you trust a team more than an individual?

People think of teamwork as a positive action, as two or more people are giving their input to produce something better than one individual might produce.
