Can we ask for reviews?

INTERNET MARKETING

Is it no longer allowed to ask for reviews of your product anymore in this forum? I'm just curious, honest question. I looked at the rules and I didn't see anything about it but every post I've made seems to disappear when that never used to happen, could we possibly amend the rules if it isn't currently there or could someone let me know either way? Thanks!

Edit: to be clear, I mean is it ok to ask people to review our products if we give them away free.

  That's why I'm confused. I used to do it all the time, now the threads seem to disappear and I can't find anything in the rules about it so I'm not sure what the deal is. My posts were extremely subtle too, just like "Free review copies of a product for anyone interested" not like "FREE REVIEWS FOR MY NEW WSO COME CHECK IT OUT TOO!"

  That's a good thread but why isn't it stickied? Why are these not the rules where they're visible, I hadn't seen this at all.
  
  Also, how is giving something away for free and then, IF the person liked it getting a testimonial from that person a problem? That's considered the same as asking for a testimonial?
