Recently I've come across many web pages like this:

courses needed for teaching major needed

Is there an SEO, SERP reason for pages that just have big nonsensical lists.. On a first look it seems like pure nonsense, but since I see so many pop up I was wondering what this is all about....

Might seem like a stupid question, but I see quite a few online.

      I agree, but I think it's pretty obvious that it was designed just for the SE's, not actual users... which again begs the question - why?
