Entering the World of IM

Hi everyone, let me introduce myself...after many weeks of lurking the forum I decided to sign up as I am just beginning my journey into the world of Internet Marketing..! I recently graduated from University about 2 years ago, and have decided that the monotony and mundane environment of office work isn't for me.

I have been spending a fair while researching forums and websites on all aspects of Internet Marketing and it is quite overwhelming! I did however stumble across Ed Dale's '30 day challenge'. I am midway through and really like it's beginner friendly structure. Armed with Market Samurai, I am slowly working through it . I hear people discuss this method, and was wondering on your views on it....whether or not you think that by creating these sites and marketing a micro niche affilate product can bring in decent income levels if several of these sites aer created, with good traffic generated?

Any advice would be great

thanks

    Hi welcome to the forum!

Yes targeting micro niche sites can be profitable. You just have to make sure you are the dominator of that niche! The best thing you can do is just test & try, because, things that work for one person may not work for another!

Just keep doing what your doing, and absorb as much info as you can! there is a lot of great info in this forum.

Yes, you can make money with the method Ed Dale teaches.

The key is to stay focused on one project/niche at a time and don't keep bouncing around. Wait until you develop a stream of traffic before moving onto the next niche.

Congrats on your decision. The key to being successful in this industry is really just staying focused, learning all that you can, and applying what you've learned. You'll soon discover that there are 3 types of people in this industry:

      1) Those that make things happen
      2) Those that watch things happen
      3) Those that wonder what just happened

      ...Which one are?

I have to agree. Although I am relatively new to this, I have learned that if you jump from thing to thing, you will never get around to finish anything you start.

Great words of advice. I have to say that there are many people who read, and read, and read, but never take action. Taking action is the most important part of internet marketing. Knowing how and when to take action is also an integral part to success. In addition, you must be consistent, persistent and above all PATIENT.

Another piece of small advice from me:

Earning your first dollar is the key to succeed! Once you've done that, simply replicate the same process of what you did to make your first dollar and you will break the jackpot soon Try to automate things as much as possible..

    Regards,
    Carty..

market samurai is good as is the ed's 30 day challenge but I would suggest going through the 2008 videos in place of the 2009 ones if you want to learn real seo basics.

2009 was more about using tools ie. traffic bug / wordpress direct etc and not so much about learning the basics like on page and off page seo.
