Understanding Opt In

Hello everyone. I would be so grateful for any advice on the following, as it is bringing my first product creation journey to a snale's pace.

I'm putting together fitness based ebooks, and i'm currently thinking about the opt-in box i need to provide. I want to give them a free download for email, and don't know what I have to do to provide this.

Is it a case of when you are with a MLP like Aweber, they provide all the script/instructions to do this - I just daren't spend any more money right now - £15 a month seems is a lot right now. I figured if I could capture mail myself in the early days, and if it takes off - then invest in Aweber. It's just such a tough learning process first time round ain't it?

Is there any other way of going about this? My main website will be Wordpress, so is there a widget or something?

    Aweber have a webforms tab you click that go through the wizard and copy and paste the code to your site, all done.

    You could also try Email Marketing Software, Email Newsletters and Autoresponders by AWeber I believe this is a reseller account for AWeber... at it's old pricing of just $19.95/mo for the first 10,000 subscribers (then $9.95/mo for each additional 10,000). Also comes with a free 30 day trial.
