Article Marketers, How Many Keywords Do You Use To Write An Article?

I use 2-3 keywords to write an article but I don't know whether it is the best way to approach keyword implementation.

So, I want experienced article marketers to tell me how many keywords they use to write an article and maybe why?

I typically choose one and then add related keywords, but I don't think much about it.

However, I did used to write for this one company that got very good rankings. With them, we had to use the main keyword two times, then six other related keywords at least once.

    Hope that helps.

I think I'm using 5 as its most and then adding few more related to this main keyword such as if I'm targeting on outsourcing, I'll be adding few more like Outsource to the Philippines or virtual staff, etc. It all depends upon how a content will be better emphasizing the whole value. And also, overstuffing keywords just to get through the search engines has never been a good idea for me. It will just ruin everything.

I typically just use one per article!

Now that does not mean i will write two articles for very similar keywords such 'dog collar' and then 'dog collars' as i will just combine those two within the articles as it is just a plural version!

Same goes for if there is a word in the middle or a few word's then they get thrown in too!

I find grouping your keywords together by similar keywords and then looking over them just before i go to write the article help's and then i try to include all the different versions in the articles.

Then of course going all technical if you are wanting to use LSI keywords then they really do just come naturally and are related keywords but often people waste time with tools etc when instead you could have written more articles in the same time.

I use the one keyword as the core of the article, and then whatever else happens along with it naturally happens.

As has been mentioned above, when you throw in the "dog training" keyword, and start writing your article about it, you will naturally be talking about "training your dog", "teaching a dog", and other phrases which mesh with it.

one main keyword, and related (LSI) keywords in the article don't hurt!

I don't really write articles anymore but when I do I always use 1 keyword per article.
