You could always set up a genuine fan club site. Talk to his recording company - see if you can strike a deal for a discount for members + commission.

WOW - nice snag! I would personally set it up as a Fan Site on a magazine style WordPress theme, install WP-robot, auto post those videos, hand-write some quality articles / bios type information on the kid...install ADS, have an ADVERTISING paid section for others who want to pay you to advertise...after you get some traffic or before you get some traffic, give em an early bird special just before you start marketing

Flip it. It's not gonna be that popular for a long time. Unload it on someone for top dollar now. The longer you sit on it, the less it will be worth. In my humble opinion.

WHAT AM I DOING WRONG?

This auction has 0 bidders and I'm only asking $1.00

I even have the reserve at $1.00 - so I'm taking a risk that I'll have to give it away and lose the $20 listing fee and $20 Featured fee.

Lots of views, but only 1 watcher and no one has asked any questions.

How can I get some bidding started on this auction?

I've revised my auction title and stuff - (nice that you can do that after an auction has gone live - wonder if I lose that ability after the first bid comes in. . .)

I can't help you with your sale but while you are waiting for it to sale I'd quickly write a few articles using this keyword phrase "Lin Yu Chun Fan Club" and submit them to EZA, Goarticles.co, Articlesbase and Buzzle in order to drive to drive traffic to the domain.

If you can show that your domain is alreeady receiving a good amount of traffic it will increase the percieved value.

For Ezinearticles.com yes, there will be a delay especially with this being the weekend but some of the other sites are instant approval.

If yo have a Twitter or Facebook account you can also send out a notification that your domain is for sale.

No. I guarantee its a con job. They will want it appraised or something. Might even pay with stolen funds and you lose x2.

Trust me, the Domain is worthless....scrap it and move on to more profitable endeavours !!

Remember, you dont have to reinvent the wheel with IM. There are literally hundreds of business models that you can make money online with.

The domain isn't really worth anything.

There are still lots of names around, just as good.

I would slap a YouTube video surounded by adsense, drive some traffic, get it ranked and then sell it.

In answer to my own question about editing after a bid - here's the verbiage from flippa.com after I hit the edit listing button:

NOTE: You can only edit a limited subset of the fields on your auction, since bidding is now in progress. Pricing fields are editable, but the remainder are locked.

Just in case you're referring to me, which I'm not saying you are, I am not the bidder. My user name at Flippa is the same I use here at WF.

In hindsight, if you didn't have a bid or if the bid is still below your reserve, you can simply end the auction with no winner. Yes you lose your $20 listing fee, but you get to keep the domain if you feel its worth more than the listing fee.
