Yea saw the add on youtube. It is a government initiated program to give offline businesses a chance to get a start up website and basically have an online presence.

It really is a good deal for anyone who knows about it.

For those who don't, Don't Tell Them and YOU create their website for them

I see the government are promoting the program. It's a great looking site by the way, looks like a good idea.

Yes the catch is that all external links are nofollow. And all pages have dofollow links back to gbbo so essentially you bleed all your PR.

You haven't - it's a great offer and quickly and easily creating an extra site that Google loves and that goes straight into the local results and can be online within minutes is a good thing.

I'm very happy that you took the time to share it - I've already started spreading the word.

Things like nofollow links and a link to gbbo are not a problem, especially for local marketing. They're tiny factors which in many cases are irrelevant.

        Thanks again.

Its one of my income streams in my business model providing web designs for offline businesses which I do for free for basic sites [client pays for hosting] and I am glad I provide this kind of service because its a win/win.

    And now.... We get this.

Well I don't think it should effect a lot but it will effect to some extent if you know what I mean.

For businesses who don't know about it, you need not tell'em. I don't see anything unethical in that. Do u?

Why would you NOT tell them? surely you're capable of adding value compared to a free site that they won't know how to effectively market.

There's a lot more to marketing a business than having a free site online. most businesses understand that.
