Offline businesses? What are the basics that you provide?

Hi,

I am looking into providing internet marketing services for offline businesses...

This is what I can currently offer:
- video marketing (probably 5 videos and submit it via tubemogul)
- article marketing (probably 10 articles and submit to Top 10 article directories)
- email marketing (create 100+ AR sequence & broadcast 3 times a week)

Is that enough?

What else can you add to that?

...and how much do you guys charge PER client (or per hour?)

thanks
BJ

That's a pretty intense amount of emailing and writing work
    if you mail so frequently.

Most offline businesses probably should be mailing 1 time
each week. That's still plenty of content to come up with
unless the business is set up to offer discounts and coupons,
which are probably the best ways to bring customers in.

A newsletter is a lot more work to come up with than
a weekly special... so there's no catch-all solution.

BTW - a monthly print newsletter will probably have more
influence on buying behavior than weekly emails. Put the
two together however and they will help each other.

thanks...i meant 100 AR sequence (not every month) but to set up over time...and about 1-3 broadcasts a week...maybe once a week is better...

The thing is most offline businesses are not in the
information business so lots of autoresponders aren't
    relevant.

Imagine a plumber pounding you 100 times a year with emails
    about plumbing.

    Kinda ridiculous, don't you think?

once a week is much better I'd say, especially for offline business.

But to be honest I would never set this in stone for prospects.
When I started trying to get customers, I tried the whole
'package' thing, and though I think it's a fair approach
I think there's some more effort in providing a customised solution.

If a business doesn't NEED 3 broadcasts a week, why would you offer it?

Isn't better to assess each client and then
    recommend an appropriate response?

This works much better for me these days.

    I would add the following.

-A portal website [if they haven't got one] or website tweaking [if they have one already]
    - A twitter page [social media presence]
    - Press release submission to PR directories
    - Backlinking and seo services [on going payment]
    - A Blog

I think a lot of the stuff varies from business to business and though having diff kind of packages is easier but a customized solution always looks better and can bring in more cash and also helps in positioning yourself as a consultant.

    Hope it helps

What you've listed there is more than enough.

I know people making a good full time income doing a whole lot less than what you've listed for local businesses.

      Here's the real key:

If you use the skills you have to make a business significantly more profits than what you charge for your service...it's a bargain.

And it doesn't matter what service you provide.

If you make them a profit over what they pay you you're giving them a fantastic deal.

So that's really where you need to put your focus:

How can I use the skills I have to help this business make real sales and profits?

      Kindest regards,
      Andrew Cavanagh

    Hey BJ,

A great (and easy) money making service would be the creation of lead generation widgets for businesses that don't have any.

I.e. a Chiropractor giving away a 5 page report, or 10 video mini-series, on excercises and stretches to immediately relieve back pain (etc.) and then at the end have it pitch a "free adjustment" or something with the Chiro.

Now your not only helping to generate more leads for the Chiro. but also making it easy for his patients to refer him customers (by having them spread the word of the free widget to their friends/family etc.)

    Cheers,
