Which Internet Marketing Strategy is Right for you? (SEOMoz check list and graphic)
-your strengths and weaknesses
-your budget
-your goal (sales, get more readers, etc).
IMHO, there are very few studies out there like this. The main issue is that with so many "gurus" and products being sold in the IM space, there are very few actual numbers to back up all sorts of claims.
For anyone who is not aware, I would encourage one to start evaluating opportunity based on standardized yardsticks like:
-Return on Investment, ROI
-Return on Equity, ROE
-Return on Assets, ROA
These don't have to be pages-long calculations. Just quick metrics that help you evaluate different opportunities, how and what you should spend your time doing based on comparable opportunities.

PS
The only major flaw I see is that they left out the Domain Channel - type-in or Direct Navigation traffic represents about 10% of total http traffic (and about 50% of the converting traffic according to a NY Times article on the subject)
