Being pretty new to this stuff I was just wondering what was the easiest way to build pagerank 0 backlinks? I have Bookmarking Demon and was just starting to use it for this, can anyone tell me if using something like that for multiple websites using the same ip address will hurt me?

    It won't hurt you.

The most effective backlinking tactic for low PR sites is what
I call daisy-chaining. I learned it while I used Veretekk. You
can probably still find it taught there for free.

I have tried a lot of stuff but writing articles is still a really good way and tangible. Having actual content on the internet is better than RSS feeds or blog comment or forum registrations because there is actual words and value behind the link so it will likely not be deleted.

Add content and right small 250-300 word articles linking back to your money pages or even just to your sites pages themselves. Hopefully your article not only is good enough to get a few views a day but also to get the article republished to other sites.

Backlinks and new content are the key to getting your PR up but vastly more important than PR is the traffic that you are getting. PR means nothing (unless you are flipping sites) compared to eyeballs that will buy your offers

    This is what I'd do:

    1) Make sure my site is XML and W3C compliant.

    2) Make sure my site has optimized sitemap.xml and robots.txt.

    3) Make sure I take advantage of Google's liking to media-rich sites by slapping a video panel on my site and uploading a 5-minute video.

    4) Make sure all my pages have optimized meta info (title / description / keywords).

    5) Make sure all my pages have autoping code when new content page or comment on old content page is added.

    Then, I'd:

    1) Place my niche keyword in WordTracker and get keyword ideas.

    2) Place WordTracker keywords in Google's Keyword Tool to get global monthly searches.

    3) Get top 20 keywords with highest global monthly searches and are most relevant to my niche.

    4) List down top 20 keywords in spreadsheet.

    5) Place these column headers in spreadsheet: keyword / global monthly searches / page PR of competing page 1 result after Googling without quotes / PR of domain where competing page 1 result is found / PR of competing page 2 result after Googling without quotes / PR of domain where competing page 2 result is found / ...and so on until PR of competing page 10 result and PR of domain where competing page 10 result is found after Googling without quotes... / PR of competing page 1 result after Googling with quotes / PR of domain where competing page 1 result is found / ...and so on until PR of competing page 10 result and PR of domain where competing page 10 result is found after Googling with quotes / number of competing pages after Googling with quotes.

    6) Fill out spreadsheet with updated information.

    7) Consider these factors in order of importance when arranging keywords based on importance: global monthly searches / PR of competing pages after Googling without quotes must be 3 and below / PR of domains of competing pages after Googling without quotes must be 8 and below / PR of competing pages after Googling with quotes must be 3 and below / PR of domains where competing pages are found after Googling with quotes must be 6 and below / number of competing pages after Googling with quotes must be less than 350K.

    8) After properly rearranging keywords in order of importance based on factors mentioned above, take first 10 keywords as main keywords.

    9) Take next 10 keywords as related keywords.

    10) Pair up main keyword-related keyword to get 10 main keyword-related keyword pairs.

    11) Write an 800-1200++-word article per keyword pair. Make sure to integrate proper keyword placement methods and writing style/approach --- I have mentioned this stuff in my previous posts.

    12) Publish articles as content pages under my site. Make sure pages have optimized meta info and page filename is article title.

    13) Submit articles to top 20 ranking article directories under same author name indicated on my site as author of my content pages. "Top" = dofollow and highest PR.

    14) Resource/Bio box content of articles should be optimized for reader action, and main and related keywords must be used as anchors of backlinks pointing to other content pages of my site --- not my domain page and of course not to same content page.

    15) social bookmark all content pages. Also, social bookmark and ping all published articles.

    16) Do this each week --- 10 content pages and articles submitted to top 20 ranking article directories per week.

    17) On other days of the week: post useful relevant content on dofollow PR4-above forums --- make sure I post on relevant and most popular threads under relevant and most popular sections of forums and use main and related keywords as anchors of signature backlinks pointing to my content pages.

    That's it.

Based on results from my experiments, my published articles on PR6 directories become number 1 or 2 on Google's 1st page 12-24 hours after publication and PR4 from PR0 in less than 2 weeks.

Content pages under my domains become PR2 from PR0 in less than 2 weeks, too.

Domain PR, on the other hand, become PR2 from PR0 in around 2 months.

So, my equation inference re: search engine rankings and PR, based on results from my experiments --- I'm continuing to study this --- is:

more content pages = more valuable domain

more backlinks on external relevant high PR dofollow content pages under relevant high PR dofollow domains = more valuable content pages

more valuable content pages = more valuable domain

    This means:

more content pages + more valuable content pages + more valuable domain = higher search engine rankings

    ...that's it.

This however is based on results from my experiments and may not provide you with the same results.

    Hope this helps.
