Looking for suggestions.

I've got a website up and running now: BuyLocalCanada > Your Home which is basically a nicer version of many of the current business directory listings online for Canadian Businesses.

I'm going to be setting up a few articles with backlinks, as well as setting up a squeeze page with "business (how to) bribes".

One: Where can someone find a strong concentration of Canadian affiliates? When I set up the affiliate program, it's going to be a healthy 20% finders fee (first month) 10% ongoing thereafter.

Two: What affiliate programs are you folks using out there for membership sites?

Three: How would YOU market a new business directory?

I'd love some good ol' warrior feedback.

Thanks for your time.

one good way to market your new business directory is to get some top search rankings for "local keywords(location+type of business)" which would serve as proof for the local business to pay you to be listed in your directory.

Thanks Blitzian. I'm going to pick a particular niche that I can serve with offline marketing as well. Anyone else have other particularly creative ideas? I shudder at the idea of doing a fax blast for it - mainly because those tend to not appear in good taste. Unless I convert the fax blast to a direct response piece where people have to go to the website to get the "goodies".
